Just a little analysis as to why I think its possible we can all receive our Visas before March next year.
CIC has made a total of 1400 Visas (Persons) ready for FSW Applicants in their 2014 Immigration Action Plan (March 2014 to February 2015). See link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/economic.asp
Now from March 2013 to March 2014 a total of 190 FSW applications (Cases) were received by Accra VO. These 190 applications (Cases) have 597 persons included in the applications meaning 597 visas to be issued. See link:
http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/5c003561-ce36-4881-a5a4-c30f9f456690
Now this means that in the 2014 plan which makes provision for the issuance of 1400 Visas, there will still be 803 Visas to issue to our seniors (backlogs ) if CIC takes care of all FSW 2013 applicants (190 Cases with 597 Persons).
On average, each case (application) has 3.4 persons (visas) on it. Now, even if i approximate this to 4 persons per case, it means CIC will have enough visas to take care of 200 Cases (800 persons) of our seniors and still have enough visas to take care of all FSW 13 applicants whose files arrived AVO as at March 2014.
So fingers crossed the backlogs are not more than 803 Persons and if that's the case, we should be good to be as soon as possible.
