Anyhow they wanna do it and whatever is driving them,it is the expected end that matters.
Unless they want to introduce another bottlenecks after the medicals,its expected that applicants will be issued PR within one year of the date of their respective medicals.
Background checks before or after MR,let us not take Panadol for their headaches....let the rain of MR continues while they look for the pain killers to relieve them of stress....

If its because of Ebola virus, what then happens after MR? People will still be here for a couple of months so I don't think that is good enough reason.

I don't think so.... May God forbid that CIC puts ebola into consideration before issuing MRs cos it means CIC would have to wait till WHO certifies West Africa clean of ebola o. Ebola's incubation is 2 to 21 days anyway, so if they are doing ebola screening then it means they would quarantine the person for at least 21 days after MR immediately after which the person must leave West Africa on the 22nd day.

I guess they would just do the screening at the point of exit in Naija and point of entry in Canada

Hello The Baft. I think u made a mistake with the figures for January, February and March 2014. The figures u have are for Persons and not Cases. Its actually 17, 10 and 1 respectively which brings the total number of cases to 190 and not the 255 you have.
