Nigerian Applicants for MPNP 2014 timelines....abeg!

My people, I am new here oh. I want to do this MPNP, My wife has a sis in Ontario. I am trying to get in touch with a friend that i know used to live in Manitoba. I guess that should be the first step abi ? establish my ties.

Heropop the great .yes first step is gettin a sponsor in Manitoba....BUT...her strong tie in Ontario might be an issue.please just read up and get a lot of reviews.there are a lot of that on different forums,about having stronng ties in other provinces,you should find some info on how to go around it.we are glad to have you here,welcome aboard!!! ;D

Quick question, anybody knows how long the nomination thing takes for the different streams cos from looking at the excel @theoese shared one could hardly tell how many months it takes, Also is there anywhere on the website that one can check for the most sought after profession.

In the past,family stream was faster than general stream.but now,with the point system,deres no priority of one over d other anymore.its just a diff in points. FS is 20 and GS is 10,if I remember correctly.il search for the profession thing and share the link here when I do find sometin.

Its a painfull story. We applied under family stream last year May and was deemed ineligible in November. To caught the long story short, MPNP stated the principal applicant (my wife) did not submit IELTS. They also stated we did not properly show our family relationship to our sponsor in Manitoba. They stated that the birth certificate of proofing relationship did not show both parents' name.

Really???ah!u have more experience in dis matter den maikudi.my husband is d principal applicant. He is a network engineer(computer engineering) and I'm a microbiologist.yes oo,IELTS is highly important!!! They process it according to professions that are highly in demand,job ready english,offer of employment,strong ties to the province.
Maikudi,the frst time,was it thru family stream?and was it a close relative?

You are in a tricky position. Are you the principal applicant or your wife? If it is your wife, then she really needs to proof that she intends to settle in Manitoba rather than Ontario. I will suggest that you try and get in touch with your friend and be the principal applicant.

Nomination i think is based on people that are most likely going to settle in Manitoba. What i have read from other thread, this is based on how well your sponsor is well establish (citizen rather than PR, good full time job, house etc). Added advantage if they had sponsored other people that had successfully settled. Then your intended skills plays a factor in nomination. This is what i think, others can share their own ideas.

Hi Theose and my fellow 9ja applicants, i'm really happy to meet you on board. I applied for MPNP general stream through a family friend who resides in Manitoba. The person is my sponsor. My application was submitted in last week of March 2013 and i received my file no in last week of July 2013 but up till now i've not been updated by d MPNP office. recently, d family friend went to there office to inquire and i was told that they're attending to d backlog of applications month by month and that they are presently attending to september 2012 applicants. Please, if u have any useful info let us knw on d platform. Our hope will not be cut short in Jesus Name.

July 2013.....it's true they are treating backlogs,i know some members with sept and oct 2013 timelines got calls last week from their sponsors.thet were interviewed.but at the end of the day,i think it's on a case by case basis.just hang in there.hopefully your sponsor would get a call very soon. and il also pass on any information I come across regarding d koko of the matter ;D cheerssss.ure almost there

Me i applied since July 2013 and received AOR almost immediately but my sponsor is yet to be interviewed and my status has changed to Assessment Pending....
