What's your NOC?

As I had become a silent reader. God don catch me now wey I get question! Congrats people on all the MRs and MR received updates. We are all hopeful that by this time next year, that Mr. Biggs meeting the Seniors are holding now will be held at a Tim Hortons IJN! (Zeemaple, na you sabi!).

Anyway, people, I have 2 questions for the house today.

1. Does anyone know of anybody who has gotten married and added their spouse after the receipt of MR? If so, please does anyone know of the probable impact on waiting time?

Question no. 2: Does anyone know of paying for Right of Permanent Residence Fee by card (foreign). I think I had read something like this in the past.

Oya, my well informed people, over to you! And God bless you as you answer IJN ( :P ;) :-* Zeemaple)

Thanks in advance

@ lilbro

Please what is the difference between 'Nomination' and AOR? I see you have different dates for the two. Please could 'aware' me?

Thank you in advance.

"Nomination" is nomination by a Province- (LOA)

"AOR" is acknowledgment of reciept after you have sent your application to CIC (Federal)

@ 1. I know of someone who added spouse after his MR. He notified VO of his change in family info. He was asked to fill some forms, send some docs and pay the necessary fee for the spouse. Two weeks after the documents were received, the spouse's MR was sent. Just try and provide all requested docs on time. Please note that the expiry of your visa when issued will depend on when the principal applicant had his medicals. So it s better to get it done on time.i hope you find this useful.

Well said buzzcana!

Hello senior
I am in need of help I am 24th June applicant[/i] but I am still confused even with the engagement of an immigration lawyer. my employer failed to give me reference letter so I put down all my duty and responsibilities and all my engagement letter even my promotion letter was attached to my application with my payslip. can all this bring me positive response from cic soon? just confused cos the reference letter was not on company letter head paper. Is there any one that has done the same as mine and what was the reply from cic ?

Thank you ever so much buzzcana and OSP.

Well, I believe what you have done will bring positive response. As at the time of submitting my docs, I was working with an organization that will never give such ref letters maybe cos of fear or thought of losing staff. All I did was gather my employment letter - then i typed my job description in a well laid manner and attached to it, promotion letters, deployment letters, salary reviews, Copy of staff ID card and everything I had to show my work status. I was skeptical at first but my app was considered. Just give your best.

Sorry. Nomination is an indication of PER(Positive Eligibility Review) on the FSW category from CIO Office in Canada. 'Nomination' is also used on the PNP (Provincial Nominee Programme).
AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt, usually issued by the Local Visa Office handling applications submitted by applicants from your country. After your file has been transferred from CIO to The LVO (Local Visa Office) it is the duty of the LVO to send you an E-mail acknowledging the receipt of your file that has been transferred to them.
