Don't think so tinuadeadebola,IELTS is compulsory,Yes but he doesn't nd 2 do it b4 initial app 2 CIO,but wud need it when sending documents 2 visa office.so he can go on with his app while he registers 4 IELTS pending response 4rm CIO.

Correct if I'm wrong o,seniors
Just my 2 cent.

No bi so, it is required at the initial submission to CIO this will enable them affirm your language point.

Thanks everyone. Barsindo i will do my best to submit full document early

Hey congrats tinuadebola. Pls do hurry with the docs. Make a checklist. Goodluck with the IELTS and remember....ORIGINAL TRANSCRIPTS only!!! For u and ur spouse. The Lord will make your path straight and your dream a reality.

Thanks a lot brightside. I have actually done my ielts and sored 14. As for the transcript would surely attach original. How is your case with accra progressing? do you have any idea if they had contacted your school or not to confirm geniuness of your credentials? best of luck brother

One quick question please: does my husband need to get work letter of reference as well for submission to Ghana? Thought only his transcript with mine is needed....am I right?

Thanks.

@tinuadebola...I haven't heard a thing from them o! I'm still waiting. Don't know if they contacted my school but I do know they've received the transcript I sent them from my school when I got back from the interview.

@ Lukeke....Ur husband doesn't need to get a work reference letter. What scores points for him is his education and that's what the transcripts would cover. And please ORIGINALS in a sealed envelope from the school!! Can't stress it too much

Thanks Darkside for the prompt response.

Hi all,

I am posting the Synopsis of 26.06.2010 notice/new changes posted by Jojobaba on this forum, which should clear lot of confusions;

1-Cap of 20,000 application (without arranged employment) to be considered for processing each year(for new application only)
2- within cap of 20,000: 1000 Cap per NOC code for application to be considered for processing each year(for new application only)
3-In calculating the caps, applications will be considered in order of the date they are received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard to routine office procedures.
4-For the unique purpose of calculating the caps, the first year will begin on June 26, 2010, and end on June 30, 2011. Subsequent years will be calculated from July 1st to June 30th, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction

Likely repercussions for existing applicants ( pre 26.06.2010):
a- Applicants belonging to class A above ( 18 NOCs) would not be affected & would continue to be processed without capping limit
b- There is still a sliver lining for class C applicant as new applications would be zero and existing would continue to be processed without capping limit.
c- Early new application for class B would be processed early as there are zero application under this class for fast track.

Good news for some, bad for others but this looks harsh!

Hey guys,

As per the new immigration rules, it is amazing that the new applicants will have to submit even the visa specific forms (alongside the normal CIO forms) to the CIO when submitting initial application. Too bad! Please see new form check list at link below for confirmation.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.PDF

As well even though CIC recently began to accept academic test results for IELTS, henceforth only General Training Ielts will be acceptable. So academic is no more acceptable.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

Again, Note: If you do not include your test results with your application, it will not be processed and will be returned to you.

Do not request that your language test result be sent directly to the Centralized Intake Office . Submit your original test result with your complete application. More details are equally in the language testing link above.

Canadian immigration has suddenly gotten tougher!

In God we trust.
