Hello, people.....
Congratulations to all with updates....
I'm still stuck with this airline booking thing o.....
I saw a really great deal with British Airways for next summer to Toronto.
Pls, does anyone know if I need a transit visa thru London for onward travel to Toronto?
Anyone with info should pls, contribute.
Thanks.
Thanks. No transit visa required. I used BA in my last trip in Sept to Toronto, and no transit visa was required - as long as you don't want to enter London town for shopping/other activities.

@Shoga,

I have replied your PM. Thanks. Cheers.

Hi Ekundapsy, you won't need a transit visa as long as you won't leave the airport.

hello Ekundapsy,

Transit visa not needed.

@Hakpoguma, Loolo and Bishop....
Thanks so much for the consensus reply, I am happy to know that.
I found this British airways return ticket for June next year from Lagos to Toronto for $1,441.62 on BA website. That's so cheap, and other airways are a minimum of $1,700......
I want to travel around that time.
Thanks, house......

Thanks, ekundapsy...good insight...but why not try using IOM...I am told they are a lot cheaper and they even give people refund of excess payments!.

Can you confirm if that quote was for British Airways or Iberia? If it was for Iberia, then you might be flying through Madrid and not London.

It's for BA - I also checked earlier on today. It's surprising because one would have thought that BA would be more expensive than the other airlines but it is among the cheapest I have checked for travel dates between April and June 2014

Yeah, it's BA, and quite surprising that it's that cheap.......considering world cup happening at that time.....
@Hakpoguma......will IOM process return tickets? I thought they were only into immigration. If they are, it will be illogical to process return tickets......anyone have an idea about this?

Thanks, ekundapsy...I got your point - IOM handles one way ticket only, primarily for immigration purposes.

A big congratulation to everyone that has gotten one form of update or the other and for those of us remaining our good God will never forget us. Amen

Seniors in the house I need your expert advice and guide ASAP as I need to make a decision now...My wife needs to renew her passport now as it expires in february 2014,this is because we are travelling out of the country this december and its not valid for upto 6months....now she has her maiden name on it and that is what we filled in our forms sent to AVO.On this renewal she is changing her Surname to my name(our Marital name).Should I immediately send her new data page with the change of name to AVO or hold on awhile?If I am to send it can I scan and send it to them via their online portal or DHL it?..Please I need to know the best move to make right now..Thanks alot

Rather than leaving the price of your tickets up to chance and poor planning,flights are usually cheaper when you book ahead.

IOM doesnot do return ticket.
