Wooooooooow. Big congratulation to you Hakpoguma. You have waited patiently for this and it is pleasing that your MR arrival will speed up the remainder of the process for you. Swim in the euphoria of the MR and quicken the medical exam so as to receive the PPR soonest. ;D
Thanks. Will work on your suggestion.

@ thebaft, Accra handles files on a case-by-case basis. They may or maynot ask for additional proof of funds. In my case, they requested for 12months bank statement later in the process. If they do not request, and maybe you added new family member, please also send updated POF, if the initial one do not have sufficient funds to cover the new addition. The standard duration for account stmts is 6months, except otherwise requested

Thanks! I love the way you "DyDx-ed" my question. I had met the minimum fund requirements in my savings account before application submission. However, due to unseen circumstances, I had to dip my fingers into the account. But now, I just made up the minimum fund requirements once again and I will like it to stay that way. This is why I was curious about the length of statements required. I read somewhere that balances in account statements should not go below the minimum funds requirement for the duration of the bank statement. So I was just being concerned.

Also, were you asked to prove the source of any deposits made into your account greater than CAD$1,000.00 or equivalent? Thanks

My great People,

God has done it again. To the glory of God, my MR arrived last night by about 7.45pm. I have never been so excited in my life until I saw the email from AVO. I can still remember my spouse's loud shout of excitment/joy - God is very good.

God is indeed very faithfaul......I am so happy and I don't know what to say and how to behave now in the office. All, I want to say, 'Thank you God'. I am over excited for reaching this milestone at this time.

To all expectants of PERs, MRs and PPR, I want to say and believe God, that pleasant news of updates from AVO will go round to you all in Jesus name, Amen. You are next on the line for good.

Many thanks to all our seniors for their continuous words of encouragement to us all - who are still in the process for PRV. I am grateful.

God bless you all. Cheers, HAA.

Congratulations HAA on your MR.

House, kindly bail me out. My family just won the DV 2014 and presently at the interview stage.
We have a new baby in the family but has not added him into the process cos we were advised that we can always cross over to Canada once we become American citizens. Pls how far is this true? I would have love to have the residency of the two nations, is it still possible?
Our interview is next-week Tuesday, we believe it will be a success, but still has Canada on my mind.

Yes you can cross over to Canada after receiving your Canadian PRV...... Should you love Canada so much ....
Also there is an amount of years you need to live in America to qualify for citizenship and I am not sure you will be able to satisfy residency requirements for both countries at the same time because your Canadian PR has an expiry date.

For the baby you better add him now so that he/she can enjoy the same processing time or else you will have to file for him later before you can take him/her to Canada permanently

The funds mustn't necessarily be steadily above the minimun, but for most part. Second, I wasn't asked to prove any deposit. $1k is small, salary can be more than that ke; they only ask for proof when a huge inflow that's one-off hits your account; even at that, if your turnover(in and outflows) are consistent, no issues.
Cheers

Hakpoguma my brother congratulations to you and sharp sharp to child practice.
