Re: Advice from senior applicants.Pls it is urgent

Your case file is quite touchy. How can there be contradiction between CIC and the VO?Again,i do not know if you calculated your points properly before applying?I would want to ask you this question''Do you agree with what they have sent to you?''If you agree,i feel seriously touched because the minimum score is 67 and when you had additional issue there should have been an increase in fund with evidence backing it.

As earlier said, you can try again. But what I do not know now is if they are still accepting for the FSW 2011 scheme. Please, make adequate research and humbly ask questions from experienced people. It is really hard to take especially when you have invested time, money and energy into something and it seems not to be working out.

God will help us all!

@ olukemi2, I feel your pain. Dauaye has rightly stated the facts. However, we may still be able to savage the situation (Chances are very slim). I had a rejection in 2012 on my current application because of VO's assumption that my job duties did not tally with those of the NOC I applied for. I appealed at the FC and God vindicated us and we got the victory.

In your case, the reasons for rejection are valid (except if your points were wrongly assessed - post on the forum the breakdown of your IELTS result and educational qualification for check. GentleAndrew's post highlights a salient point: why should CIC and Accra assess you differently?). But I believe no harm trying option A below:

OPTION A - RECONSIDERATION
1. Enrol immediately for IELTS now, there's Nov 6 slot in Lagos
2. Update your Proof of funds to meet the minimum for your family size, also get valuation report for any property you have(optional, but good if available)
3. Write a ' Reconsideration Letter' well worded with kind words to request them to give you a chance. Also outlining why you're an economically viable candidate. You will then send all in a package to the Program Manager. Above all, we will support it with prayers. The chances are slim, but worth trying.

OPTION B - REAPPLY
Visit the immigration website www.cic.gc.ca to check the new requirement (changes were made since May 4,2013). This depends if you or your hubby's occupation is on the current occupational list and not reached the cap. This is a long haul, but you can still prepare yourself for future application.

I hope this helps

Hello everyone, it’s been a while. Apologies for my long absence, I seem to have no much excuse.
@ Olukemi, please take heart. Honestly, it could have been less painful if your application had been refused during the PER stage, you wouldn't have waited this long for amendment. Please, I’d suggest you heed to dauaye’s and Dydx's advice ‘cos no time is too late.
I warmly rejoice with everyone with one update or the other. God is Indeed awesome.
@ Gabrilla thanks for your oneness.

I am kemi.I applied for the federal skilled worker last year and was sent a confirmation mail and UCI number last year march. We were three in my family when I applied but there was an addition to my family and I sent them all required documents.Today I was sent the mail below:

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the federal skilled worker class. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 12(2) of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a foreign national may be selected as a member of the economic class on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada. Subsection 75(1) of the regulations prescribes the federal skilled worker class as a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada.
Pursuant to the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, 2002, skilled worker applicants are assessed on the basis of the criteria set out in subsection 76(1). The assessment of these criteria determines whether a skilled worker will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are age, education, knowledge of Canada's official languages, experience, arranged employment and adaptability.
Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) Maximum
in which you requested
assessment: .
The table below sets out the points assessed:
Points assessed

Age 10 10
Education 20 25
Experience 21 21
Arranged employment 0 10
Official language proficiency 10 24
Adaptability 4 10
TOTAL 65 10

You have not obtained the minimum number of points, currently 67, required for a permanent resident visa. You were awarded points according to the information you have provided in your application. You have therefore not satisfied me that you will be able to become economically established in Canada.

Subsection 76(3) of the regulations permits an officer to substitute their evaluation of the likelihood to become economically established in Canada if the number of points awarded is not a sufficient indicator of whether the skilled worker may become economically established in Canada.

Also, I reviewed your financial assets in order to satisfy me that you have sufficient financial resources for a family of 4 people. Based on the information you have provided, I am not satisfied that you meet the minimum financial requirements for a family of 4 people. You provided evidence to have available funds totalling 16,644$ however, the minimum financial required for a family of 4 people is 20,654$.

Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to "this Act" include regulations made under it.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Sincerely,

Immigration Officer

Olukemi2, It is so pathetic that this happened to you at the time you were eagerly awaiting your MR. It is so sad. But guess what, " the pursuit must continue". Consider this as a phase in the pursuit of your dream. Take all the advice that has been given and say to yourself, " I am not giving up "

See you and your family in Canada soon.

Chizzy,
That is rather unfortunate! As Gel has said, your first point of call is really the visa office...Because they really determine whether the visa and the COPR are still valid due to the damage caused. Based on their response, you can act accordingly...But 2 days and you have not done so already? I can imagine how you feeling, my heart goes out to you. Please contact them ASAP.
Wish you all the best!
