THIRDED!!

@ orire your PPR mail clearly tells you to inform the embassy before proceeding, if theres any change to your family make up. I had two of my kids in 36th week of pregnancy. Your wife can even deliver right now as we r talking. Pls dont rush and dont take the risk. Wait till ur baby is born, then inform accra of the new addition to your family and take it from there. You will not lose this opportunity. A few weeks or month will not kill you. Cheers and all the best. Wish your wife safe delivery.

"Conversation between the N1000 and N10
A well-worn One Thousand Naira note and a similarly distressed Ten Naira note arrived at the Central Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burnt, they struck up a conversation.
The One Thousand Naira reminisced about its travels all over the county. "I've had a pretty good life," the One Thousand Naira proclaimed. "Why I've been to Lagos, Ibadan, Benin, Kano and Abuja, the finest restaurants in Victoria Island, Kaduna, Abuja and eastern Nigeria, performances at Muson Centre and Glover Hall, hottest nite clubs all over the country and even a cruise on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Moor house, that joint near Awolowo Road, Eko Hotel, VGC Hotel, Tera Kulture, King size, Sheraton, St. Elmos.
"Wow" said the Ten Naira."You've really had an exciting life!"
"So tell me," says the One Thousand, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"
The Ten Naira replies, "Oh, I've been to the Apostolic & Methodist Church, the Redeemed Christian Church, the Deeper Life Bible Church,Baptist Church, Anglican church, Catholic church, the C & S Church, CCC, the Lutheran Church..." (Daystar)
The One Thousand Naira note interrupts, "What's a church?:O:]Y
Please help the N1000 notes go to church this Sunday

Dear Wise Men and Women,
Will my son do medicals now or latter even if he is not travelling with me to Canada until after 4yrs. Considering the fact that medical result is valid for only 1 yr and he does not need visa until 4 yrs time.

Hi dear,

Your son will do his medicals as a non accompanying dependent for the vo's record. He will not be issued a visa if he is not going with you now. Not sure what the procedure is when he's ready to join you, but without this medicals, he will not be able to join you.

@ ALL
My pple this yellow card thing is a serious thing o. Pple who are coming to Accra today must endeavour to carry it with them, not just to carry blank or incorrectly filled card. If you you dont have and you just picking it from MMIA, then allow a knowledgable person there to complete it for you with dates that will not implicate you. We were told yestday that they have just started proper procures to ensure compliance 2days ago. Pple were forced to take injs in my presence yday for 2k each.

All those travellibg by air can get the yellow card from the port clinic at the airport. It should be free but.... And valid for 10 years.

Ciao

Ciao

Had the yellow card issue at Accra, your card will be considered fake/invalid for the following reasons
  • Your information is not properly filled in
  • The medical personnel did not sign on each vaccination recorded
  • The card is not duly stamped by the medical officer
  • Note that certain vaccinations can only be taken min 2 weeks apart
  • Most importantly, there is a batch no for each vaccination and it has a format, so if under batch no column they just wrote eg yellow fever or something that cant be read or a signature, it wont fly

Got a card in Lagos and it was refused, I insisted the guy explain why and thats what i got, he also said this issues come mainly from Lagos, people from Abuja airport hardly have issues with their card.

If you still fall victim, you will be jabbed immediately and pay 2k naira (with receipt) :)

@ ALL in need of yellow card. I think it depends on the source you get it in Lagos. For instance, if you get it from touts at the Airport or from those cleaners that wear yellow and blue, you may be in for trouble. My advice for those in Lagos is to go to the ports clinic on the arrival hall near the Post office. Walk past the front of the Post office and enter the door opposite you or better still ask anybody the Post office on the arrival hall and subsequently, the port clinic. You will get an authentic yellow card from them. I think you pay either N500 or 1k and they will also give you some vacination and record it in their register and give you a duly filled yellow card ;D. IT'S AUTHENTIC. I have tried it and did not have any problems with it. Ensure you eat something before going and of course go with your International passport. Good luck to all the PPR holders and don't forget to share the Accra experience with us 8) 8)
