Am a radiographer n radiation safty professional,we do x-rays for pregnant women in their 3rd timester(last 3 months).I believe s almost 6months. if u have 60days to do ur medicals,u can wait till she s 6months.either way do let her do the xray but ask the radiographer to sheild the pregnancy witH a lead apron.pls don't do the xray without a lead sheild for the pregnancy.
Praying acrra will issue ur PPR b4 ur wife s 38 weeks.

You need up to 10rads of x-ray to cause advert effect on pregnancy and you will need to undergo extra about 5times to get up to the dose. I will advise that you allow the medical consultant to advise accordingly

@ neddy, we have the same issue at hand. I'm likewise confused with the IMM0008 forms to fill, I PM Jada who advised me to fill the following forms bcos she once passed through this stage.

@ Thejackson, i will like to align my thought with Spicy. From end of April to August is 4months assuming you do the medical successfully and lands your PR within two months, you will have about two months before delivery and that might be a bit dicey, this is on the assumption that the pregnancy runs its full course. On the the other hand, some babies may come earlier than the due date and i think that's what Spicy meant by saying that no two pregnancy are the same, if you are in doubt, ask PA MUFU . I will advice you do the medical and exclude the xray and complete it after the baby is born. If per chance you are not able to travel after the visa is issued on the account that the Airline would not carry your wife because of her medical condition, you will have to return all your passport, do medical for the new born before a new PR is issued after old one have been cancelled. Am sure this might even take a longer time than you may have anticipated.
