Hi all,

Pls can somebody enlighten me on what they require for proof of relative in Canada. A friend actually has this opportunity, he has submitted his documents and equally has a relative thou this far relative from the Mother's side, all parents are no more but the person actually wrote and equally sent a photo copy of his Citizenship Card which my friend sent along with his documents, what else will they require for this proof if things like birth Certificates are not there? lets someone in the house look at this.

Need to show how you are related to him or her
Proof that he or she is working
Letter from his employers or employment letter
Payslip bank account utility bill.

You need to study the materials on the site. There are other means through which you can immigrate to canada.

Check the Provincial Nominee Program, Live-in caregiver, student, QSW, etc

The resources there are loaded. But for your profession. I will advice you focus on the QSW and PNP

In as much as I respect members responses/contributions to my request in respect to the inclusion of my baby to my application, I went ahead to make an inquiry thru email to VO Accra because it wont cause me anything. This was their response which is not contrary to the ones (likes of Mandie) given in this forum which I believe will benefit all:

For the new addition to your family, kindly provide the following:

* An updated IRPA application for you and your spouse. An application includes the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008], the Schedule 1: Background/Declaration [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1] and the Additional Family Information form [IMM 5406]. Forms can be found at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/application-regular.asp.

* Payment of the Application for Permanent Residence Fee for your new dependent if she is accompanying. (for current fees, please consult: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp)
* Copy of birth certificate for your new dependant

* 4 passport-sized photos for your new dependant, as per the photo specifications found in Appendix C of the visa office specific instructions. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37100.pdf;

* Copy of the biographical pages from valid passports for your new dependant.



Please send these as soon as possible so she can be added to your file.

Those links appears dead. I am not sure the Schedule 1 is still in use by CIC. It was renamed as schedule A. and I guess remains so.

My people i hail una o. I read from one of the posts that some of the applications submitted before 2008 have been cancelled . How can one know if his/her application is part of the selected ones? I've heard from some sources that some of those picked were 2005, 2006 and 2007 applicants. I would appreciate if someone could bail me out. Thank you.
