I called CIO about an hour ago to get an update on my application cos it seems no one from Accra visa office has received an AOR since May.... The Agent was quite courteous and asked me my name, date of birth & when my application got to CIO which i told her, she told me to hold on for about 5 minutes and came back to ask me my payment mode which i told her CC charged sept 1.

She kept me on hold for another 5 minutes and told me my application is currently being processed and it will take about 33 weeks for me to get an AOR from my application date..... as she was about to say good bye, i asked her if i have any application number or client i.d to help me in case i want to call again. she then gave me an 8 digit number Client i.d number (Is that good news ?).

she then told me i could call back if i dont receive my AOR by December ending.

To all of us still waiting earnestly for the AOR... it is well, while those that have received theirs i say receive favour throughout the remaining process.

Today, i receive a response from Accra to mail enquiry made on the 19th of October,2010. Accra reply in two days. That is great.Below is mail i sent and followed is their response

My Mail:
Dear sir/Madam
You would recall that the 10th of June 2004 I submitted an application for permanent immigration to Canada. In the Process, I have submitted an update , additional documents and as well as medicals for myself and the family.
I am using this medium to inform you that I have not heard from your authority since the last medical request received in April. Should you have issued any request after the medical request, I wish to inform you that nothing has been received from you yet.
I would be glad if you could furnish me with my application update/status.
Thanks for your anticipated co-operation

I got an almost exactly worded reply from Accra on 1st of September this year.With the look of things I dont think Acraa is ready to issue any visa again this year. I am keeping my hopes on early next year. I pray they prove me wrong sha.
