I submitted full docs Nov 17,2010 after receiving my first AOR on Nov 1st. As at today I am yet to get any form of acknowledgement except my E-cas that shows "Received by Visa office".
I have requested for my CAIPS last month & I hope to receive it any moment from now.

To be quite frank, I'm tired of lifting my hopes too high cost I thot it will all be over within a year but God knows best !

Too bad we have to wait the wait! No option or fine. I have a friend who applied in 2003 when he was 39years old. He recently got his PR visa last month at the age of 47years old! The guy told me that he is going to Canada for his retirement benefit.

Really the situation is very frustrating. Imagine you have some huge some of money which you have used as POF but could not go into a business because CIC could call for POF any moment.....Too bad indeed!

I am certainly going to Canada to enjoy my retirement. I will retire as soon as I receive my PR from my current employer

Fellow nigerian pls i need ur advice.i sent my applicatn to cio last week thru fedex.i did not include my wife transcript but i attach a letter wit my appltn dat i wil provide it wen it is ready.now d person helping us to get it call me yesterday dat it is ready.pls i want to know if i should sent it to cio wit a letter attach or i should wait til wen dey ask 4 it.am claiming point 4 my wife education.pls i need ur advice .if i sent it i dont want it to get lost bcos i spend time and money to get it.

First of all congrats for getting the transcript. I will advise that you write them including your full names and date of birth + Country of birth/residence to CIO immediately. That might be the singular reason for .....u never know.

in the alternative, you could wait for the PER to land and forward same to Accra.

Other respected seniors, please lets have your views.

I'm about sending additional docs. to Accra.Can i send notarized copies of payslip and other POE doc. 'cos it could be needed for other things and not sure of when it will be returned.And pls PM to me where get docs notarized at lower rate.The last one i did was 2k per page.

@toptinar,

i will suggest you wait for your AOR, you can then forward it quoting your file number. The danger in sending it now is that they may miss file it considering that CIC get thousands of applications worldwide, the only way they track documents is through file number. Thats my 2 kobo.

I concur with kpopi77.
I am in the same shoes with respect to our PR sponsorship application. I actally called the CIC call centre and that was EXACTLY the advice i was offered. Cheers!
