You have absolutely nothing to worry about.
I want to believe that the email address you're talking about is the one you wrote down in your initial application form to CIC in Nova Scotia. If you look at that application package again, you will see where it's written that filling an email address authorizes them to communicate with you thru the email as the preferred form of correspondence.
Your ecas will always display the P.O. box address, mine still does,even after "Decision made", and all the correspondence I got from CIC and AVO were all through my email.
The important thing to do, is to make sure you cannot miss any mail that comes to you. Check your email EVERYDAY. Never bulk delete, look through each mail to make sure it's not what you're expecting.
Sift thru your bulk, spam, junk mail boxes before you delete anything.
Someone had posted earlier about a gmail peculiarity that makes finding mails in the inbox a little difficult. Pls, check for that post and read thru, if you use gmail.

Thanks alot ekundapsy, you just made everything so simple and clear...actually my initial application I didnt fill in an email cos of the instruction as i wanted to use my p.o box add...but when i needed to inform AVO about addition to my family I filled in my email this time, but i was thinking it will reflect in my ecas...i get it now very clearly...infact +1 for you..thanks

Congrats for your PER.
Concerning your proof of fund, your both accounts (savings and fixed) are ok but the fund should not be less than what is required by a family of 2. Most likely they will ask for that again before your MR or along with your MR.
Another thing that is good for proof of fund are your stock statement portfolio from CSCS web sites, your property (Land, building etc) valued by an estate Valuer and your pension fund portfolio from the pension funds website. These three items hardly depreciates or reduces in value so to me they are the BEST.

@ dauaye, you mentioned pension fund portfolio,is that fund in an easily convertible form as required by CIC especially when one has not retired?

Pension fund is not in easily convertible form but you can get 25% of it when one loss his/her job and the remainder after 50years. But the fund is your contribution or savings so it is part of your asset. US embassy and CIC accepts that as part of your funds.
