Thank you so much, omonaija and emmy_est for your responses. I think I will start making enquiries for the tourist visa and the supervisa, to get more informed. But I want to know, why can't I add her as a dependant?
@ty, you cannot include her as a dependant.
Dependants are spouse or common-law partner AND/OR child (ren) - here I mean chid (ren) of either you or hubby whether had together or differently.

She can travel on her own to join you, I assume you are the principal applicant. The principal applicant can land first, and all dependants can join follow, no wahala!

thanks so much,

ANigerian in on point, but note that wify MUST perform her landing before the expiration of the entry visa ( what you will get is a single entry immigrant visa), otherwise wahala start oooo. Meanwhile, since your visa is not yet issued, If in your shoes, I'll start planning for the landing process, like get inform for accommodation etc. Members here have helped one another to sort out that even before landing. I think you should consider your options well. Proper planning and guidance from landed seniors can help greatly so you can land with your family and start your new life in Canada together. Just a honest opinion though.
Cheers brother

.....because she no be dependant. Only nuclear family members be dependant - wife, husband and children, step children. Remember, the definition no be say because your mama or papa or brother/sister/cousin/uncle/aunty depend on you financially! lol!

Peace!

Because there is no news of updates and we are tired of waiting!!!

Olamide me sef i tire o !!!,
Between i was reading an intresting argument on another forum , in which they were arguing about doing upfront medicals. Is this possible for FSW apllicants?, maybe one can just go and do the medicals while waiting for the request from accra, atleast we do know that very soon accra would soon request for our medical results.
Our seniors in da house please comment.
thanks.

Good day Jesus is Lord,u should get a response from accra anytime soon but in the meantime, make sure u have the birth certificate of your child, international passport,4 passport photographs,if your proof of funds does not cover for the addition, make it up and get the statement ready, fill a new additional family form and application form, write an application where you will introduce your newborn as well as state all these documents you are including and send it to accra by either mail or dhl.

These is how far i can remember,if anything is omitted, seniors in the house bail out please.Thank you.

Olamide,
I doubt if it is possible for you to do upfront Medicals....I am not sure how that will work.
For one, you need the medical form IMME to be able to do the medicals, it is usually electronically generated with a barcode specific to each applicant and dependant, and you cannot get it until Accra sends it to you.
Second, why would you decide to do the Medicals upfront? Remember that the lifespan of your medicals is just one year, and if you do not land in that year, you will have to repeat the medicals. So, what if you actually successfully do the medicals (although not sure if that is possible), and your PPR is delayed for whatever reason (strike, mistakes, processing time delays etc), and it expires...you will still have to redo the medicals....
I think we should just wait, and hope that the updates will resume.
