Thanks a lot ind_dan, I have file number since march 2010 , I sent my supporting documents on june 2010 throuhg one agent in canada, my ecas shows receive by visa post. Those submitted almost the same time have received response from visa post.

why sending via an agent in Canada when Nigeria is closer to Ghana?
you would have sent this document urself and monitor it.
because sending via Agent it will take days to get to the agent then the agent will have to send to Ghana.
we should try and handle things ourself and let go all this agents.
i believe in doing it myself and ask questions where i feel i should.
just in case u have any further document to send to Ghana just send it urself it takes NIPOST 2wks to get to Accra and Fedex 3days.
pls let not spend cash on agents rather save it for other things.

My Naija people,
Please I need some advice here.

I spoke with HR department in my former employment over the phone yesterday. I asked if any enquiry has been made about me by CIC/CIO and they said no. I pleaded with them to assist should there be any call or email from CIO. A manager from the HR then told me that they cannot give details of my employment with them over the phone to anybody/organisation. He said they can only confirm my job titles and period of employment. Concerning job duties and wages, he said that they only confirm if request is by post or email and not phone.
This employment is very important because that is what I am claiming points from. The company is in Nigeria and I am presently living in the UK. I left the company in 2005 when I was coming to the UK

Please does anybody know how CIO/VO verify emplyment details?

After 8 months of waiting (since May 2010), my status changed to 'In Process' today. However, when I click on the link it does not say when they started processing, it still has the same statements as when it was showing recd by VO.

I am thankful to God that at least things are starting to move along and pray that medical request will follow shortly.
