I am just starting the process under the Provincial Nomination (family sponsor) and would like to know if anyone has experience here, is it faster than the FSW?

I see 2010 was pretty fast from Accra, say on average 6 months from filing. Please confirm.

A first time contributor here though I have been going through this forum and I can say the contributions here has really been helpful.
I am going the way of Quebec (This is because its the route that gives me and my family the best of chance as my course is in the regions List of Preferred Training as a Biochemist). I just need people that had gone through this route (e.g. egrace62) to just give their advice as my application was received in Paris on the 10th of January 2011 but no AOR yet and my card has not been charged as well and since I am meant to have priority treatment hope its still in line.

it ought to have been charged by now and i think the delay will be as a result of any of the following.
1) either your credit card is denominated in USD as against the CAD that BIQ-Paris accepts ( other BiQ offices accpts EURO) and they are very strict with this ( cos of this i had to raise a drft 2ru THE Royal bank of Canada in CAD, since no Nigerian Bank is willing to. and d cash was cleared with 6days)
2) or u didnt include a cover-letter that ur card shld b charged for d extra pay extra cost of conversion ( although it is never stated on their site dat 1 should do such but it could have workd out on compassionate grounds)
3) or u didnt fill out the Paiement par carte de credit-form

lets just pray dat the card will be charged so that ur case can fly. cos with the priority stuff with 1month after d charging of ur card. ( provided ur application is appropriately supported with d required documentation.

I was able to do mine but it does not even showed that Docs was received in Accra

Yes, i can now check my e-cas and in process is on display. But it is also showing medical results received. i guess that must be an error.

To clear this point at the submission of ur application form all they need is a photocopy of ur passport. until medical before the original passport can be requested.
better still u can defer his admission pending when your PR is thru.
this just my view on this matter.

Thanks. I have decided to wait until March to see the direction of the processing before applying. I cannot allow him stay this year, i want him to resume this year. He finished last year and i defer his resumption until this year, can not afford to do that again.

Like I said earlier if money is not an issue. Let the young man proceed with his study now. The rest will fall in place as your application receives due consideration.

OND in Financial Studies (2 yrs)
BSC in Accounting (3yrs)
Master Degree in Business Admin( MBA) but not Msc.(2yrs)

egrace62 thanks for your response, I appreciate this but I am really not at peace with this though. How can I contact BIQ-Paris maybe I can send a cover letter to instruct them to charge any extra charge that might come with the conversion. I actually filled the credit card payment form and to the best of my knowledge all required documents are enclosed.

by now u should have a file number with mails if additional documents is required.
i also submitted in June and i have sent additional doc and POF waiting for medical.
so send them a mail if u have not heard from them
do u have file nos?
wat ur ecase showing if u have file nos?
