Our family was invited to submit passports for final approval of the CoPR. However, we were awaiting the arrival of our newborn. In a twist of faith she was born with DS. I know that this will present a challenge with the medical tests and we anticipate a procedural fairness letter. Most of the advice I have seen on forums like these relates to older children and their schooling and development. I dont know how to respond with a newborn medical plan since she is only a few weeks old and hasnt had time for any therapy.
Has anyone ever had success at express entry with a newborn with DS? Any advice?

Sorry to hear that your newborn has DS.

The key is that, would your newborn kid cause excessive demand on health/social services to Canada? This is defined as $6,655 per year for the next five or ten years. If not, have a specialist doctor issue a letter detailing all the treatments s/he may need. Then write a letter of explanation explaining why you believe that these treatments won't exceed $6,655 per annum. The road forward will be difficult. Good luck.
