ladyposh : i think there are a bunch of people before me and Props unfortunately. I am pretty certain besides yourself both Ebony and Sanchester applied in September as well as a few of the newbies who recently joined us.

Speaking of which.... we need to get a Update chart going so we can keep better track... Waiting .. did you ever email that document to Sanchester?

It gets confusing when you see people like Butterfly (October 10) and Phenomenal (October 15) get straight through.... ??? Who knows where any of us are in line.

ladyposh : I had a bit of trouble with the ticker too. I had tried to put the ticker code and a quote in there and because you can only have a certain amount of characters in there it wouldn't work. Maybe check the signature and make sure there are no spaces and the code is not taking up all of the character count.

Do you guys really think its just random luck that some people get through and some don't? I always here people say that delays can be avoided yes...but as for processing time without delays...nobody can really tell why and how some people get through quicker than others.

But I wonder if certian applications seem more obviously a real marriage than others...and others they dig around a bit for. Or is it that they go through the ones that are easiest first...and save the massive fully loaded with evidence ones like mine haha for last because its a pain?

What did you guys do for the part where it says on a seperate piece of paper include details about your current relationship that would help prove your relationship is genuine. I told our entire story...front to back. Its a few pages long lol!!!

Smoothie:For that one i think i just wrote how much we're still in love now, how much we've become fixtures in each others lives even more. I wrote about how much i miss my family and how it hurts and affects me each day only being able to see my daughter on webcam and not being able to hold her and such... just stuff like that. Not quiet sure if thats what they wanted but i just wrote from my heart.

SmoothiesQueen... For your answer about living in Jamaica... I noticed a few members maybe misunderstood you... I think I got what you meant about the job when you come to canada... I really don't think it matters what you will do after you get here I think they just want to make sure that you guys are coming into something when you arrive after that I dont think it matters if you decide to change jobs or stay at home... I would refer to an old time member for actually all your questions concerning living in Jamaica to Chelley... She lived in Jamaica with her hubby during the process of her application....

Also her timeframe was 4 months she stated she had about 75 pages including everything photos and all in her application mine was about 500 pages with photos and all and im still waiting after 10 months lol so not sure if its because her was short and sweet that she got through so fast but I would imagine that it MAY have something to do as they dont have to look at so many evidence... ****Keep in mind this is MY opinion****

Yeah.. i was having trouble too.. thought it was my computer. I think writing from the heart is key. I can't imagine an IO looking at Baby Girl Proper and not saying... DADDY GO THROUGH!! Our time is near Props!!

SmoothiesQueen: I wonder the same thing. I know there are processes they are supposed to follow but maybe you are right. Especially since the office was audited and they needed to improve their numbers... maybe instead of going by date and completing the file, they pick one they can breeze through to meet their quota. I swear there are constantly a million things running through my head at all times (no wonder i can't sleep) it's enough to make a person crazy!!! There are definitely steps we can take to avoid the obvious delays such as paying the fee before they ask but just in case I am also counting on a whole lot of prayer! Immigration completely takes away our control once they get a hold of our file so we just have to leave it with God and be confident that He won't let us down.
I also did our entire story. In the beginning when my husband was still here I wasn't sure which forms we were going to use because he was in Canada still. I had started filling out the forms for when your spouse is in Canada but then his work permit expired and we couldn't apply for him until after he went back. The questionnaire in the first application was a little bit of a different format so I had typed that up already. I ended up kind of using that format but really going into a lot of detail on the questions. It was quite a few pages long...(about 8 ) but i didn't feel like i was babbling on because it was a little more question and answer so maybe the could read what they wanted from it. WHO KNOWS!!! LOL

SmoothiesQueen: I think Lonley_wife has a very valid point. I think if you are able to put yourself in the IO's shoes and think about what they would want to see when they pull a file on a Monday morning...or a Friday afternoon or any time for that matter. You don't want to give them too little but then you have to be cautious about overwhelming them with too much!! It is a slippery slope and i'm not sure anyone knows the correct formula as going IO is going to have their own preference. I think keeping in mind the office has been audited though, and are trying to speed up their processes... I myself would be very cautious about sending too much.
