Our File Fxxxxxxxx

Dear Sir

Thank you for your email.

There seems to have been some mis-communication or mis-understanding. At the end of the interview, I requested that Mr xxxxxx submit additional proof that he and his sponsor resided together. These documents were received here on the 8 December 2011. The application has now been placed in our review queue and the assessment of this application will continue early next year.

I hope the above assists you in responding to your constituent's concerns.

Regards

Designated Immigration Officer

High Commission of Canada /Haut-commissariat du Canada

Government of Canada

So this is not bad information. It just means they requested additional information, which you provided and the review process will move forward. I know you said xxxxx felt the officer was rude and intimidating, but she could have actually denied the file progress further if she had felt the marriage was in question. You have provided proof that you are a couple, so let's give it some time and I will request a follow up in six weeks....Feb. 1 I'll send another message. Should you receive any information please let me know.

Sincerely,
-

Morning KGN

Witty, it's more waiting but you do know what to expect at this point and you do know where you stand. Very bittersweet but in a few weeks, you'll be with your wife. Hopefully you get your visa befoe your meds expire.

BTW, edit your post. Take out your file #. You should not share this info on the forum.

Happy Friday everyone

Witty i am really glad to hear that you were able to get an update through your mp at least your not left wondering, and i think that they are continuing to work on your file is a good sign and thats a good indication that you;ll most likely be approved soon.

@ everyone
i also went to see my mp last week but all he was able to tell me is that they had not opened my file yet and that nothing has been started

just wondering is this normal or can they only give a status update once this file changes to in process on ecas. the mp told me that he call cic and not KG -- i dont know if that makes a difference.

I agree and he also put his full name :o

Yuup! That too.

I was talking to a friend of mine whos mother works for immigration canada and she informed me that right now the kingston office and the mississauga office here in ontario are both back logged therefore all applications recieved after October of this year will not begin processing untill End of January 2011.... not sure how correct this information is since it is one of those heard from a personwho heard from another person type of deal..... does anybody know of any knowledge to this statement or how i can find out if this is true or not?

regarding my previous post sooo very rude of me my appologies... god morning everyone :D

morning monrning all TGIF

we are the weekend before the festivities :P

Witty that means they are processing your info and based on that they so far believe you have a genuine marriage but the proof you submit may shift that to more yay or nay so just wait now as the MP say Feb 1 so now you just need to chill until then because you dont wanna be a pest to your MP or KGN

AMANDAWOOD morning girl hope all is good that info may or may not be correct unless KGN send out a communication i take every "hearsay" as that hearsay keep in mind this forum is not the only folks applying

I don't take nothing for sure with immigration. We got through in under seven months...right around the seven month mark..total...not including the time we taking before we leave which in my opinion doesn't count because thats on us. We have until March 2nd to leave. And two people on the application. There are other couples whose files were well done and records clean and case as genuine as ours that have waited triple the time. I'm sure paying all fee's upfront and doing a good job on your file helps...but it doesn't guarentee anything!! I think its all chance...depends on random acts of chance...which IO you get, how motivated they feel...how quickly all areas get to different aspects of your file like your medicals and stuff...etc!!

I have a friend who works in immigration and I heard the same thing...that they were backlogged months and months...and that they were not even to 2011 files yet. Then I got a medicals recieved update and shortly after a passport call.

Yet there are some I know with medicals recieved updates still waiting. You see what I'm getting at?? Nothing is ever predictable...and backlogged or not...you seriously never know with them!
