To follow up on what Ebony said... I also wanted to mention that Canada has tons of scholorships for newcomers to go back to school. That's my husbands plan the minute he gets here. I think it would be best if he finds a career that he would enjoy doing..invest in his education.. and have a comfortable future.

Thats our plan. I have RRSP's that we were going to use towards tuition, but we will also take advantage of all services offered to him as a newcomer... including any scholarships offered. yippie!

Sanchester : I have heard that the YMCA offers services for newcomers but that is the only thing i've heard. What kind of newcomer goodies to you have to share ?

Waiting...I'm back girl!...hang in there girl! hubby soon come! As for the ecas...it was the ecas tracker guy i emailed! I was disappointed when I heard that too!

Sanchester...thats great to hear re: the scholarships. Keep me posted on stuff like this! I completely agree with you...get education up to the so called Canadian Standard will land them in a good job!

Mrs Proper : I think we have all had that day.. over and over. Mine usually coincides with the weekend as I know there is not going to be any action in Kingston. I have gotten to the point where I am ok with going to work.. as long as I know they are too!! Screw the weekends! lol. Since your status already changed to In Process, I don't think you are going to see too much ECAS updates anytime soon. The trend seems to be the status is changed after they have notified you of passport drop or whatever the next step is so you'll probably hear the phone ring first!
