In my last attempt to unlock the secrets of the Kingston immigration office:

Waiting, Lonely and Ladyposh......

1.) Is it true that your ECAS status still said Applications Received after you had already gotten the call for Passport Dropoff and never said In Process?

2.) Had you all received an AOR letter?

Hey... thats what happened to lonely_wife... her husbands ecas never said in process.. it only said application received. It only said In process days after PPR.

Im with lilmaya.. I am totally loving the original document and pp request together... what a lovely surprise. The day before he got the call you were so nervous about ecas... ecas shmmecas! within 24hours your life has changed!!

My husbands ECAS updated again today... just added his address though. Almost had a heartattack when I saw my email from the tracker. Still something... !!

thanks lilmaya... you are such a sweetheart... my husband is at the embassy now... he said there was about 20 people outside when he got there... he has been in there for a while since 1:30... I am getting a little nervous.. I just want him to get out and take a picture of the visa and send it to me via blackberry messenger so I know for sure he got it lol hahahahaha (Not that I don't trust him lol) I just want to see it for myself since it took so much work to get that piece of paper lol..

Sanchester ... my husband also got an update today with just an address. I'm not sure what this means process wise.

What I am worried about is the address added was his former PO Box in the Bahamas and he has been here in Canada since late Sept. We have sent numerous requests to update the contact information especially the phone number :S

It's got me stressed that we may have missed a call or something ...

Youpi... My husband just walked out of the embassy about 30 mins ago... He has in visa and it expires july 9. YOUPI!!!! I am booking his ticket in a bit for june 19 so he can stay for his moms wedding.. ;D ;D ;D

reemagray : Congratulations on the ECAS update.. no matter how small .. I am convinced it's progress. I can undertand your concern with that. Did you fax or email your change of address to Kingston? I called the Canada immigration 800 number once and they said that if they had tried to contact my spouse in Jamaica and failed, they would then try to contact me. I don't know how accurate that is and of course i'm certain that would come with delays. I'm sure if you updated your address with the call centre as well as faxed Kingston, it will be fine.

lonely_wife YAY!! What a long day for hubby but it's officially over! Congrats again girl! You have a little time to watch for some nice seat sales! Are you going down for the wedding...you would be able to come home togetherrrrrrr!! AWWWE!!! Great news all around!

My hubby got the call to come pick up his passport so so so relieved. Feels like the world has literally lifted off my shoulders. wheeeew.

Yaargirl....CONGRATS GIRL!!!! You must be on cloud nine!!!! When are you going to book his flight?

I think my hubby's med will expire June 11 so we are going to book his flight for the first week of June because the prices are so low then....I hope he get his PP back soon enough so we can book before the prices go up!!!!lol

Thanks everyone... very nice of you.. I am very happy... When hubby took the picture of the visa to send it to me I was suprised to see that the visa was issued on the Friday so the day after hubby dropped off his passport... Looks like Kingston work pretty quick...

Congrats Yaadgirl... I told hubby to look for your husband today but he told me he wasnt there lol... But youpi book that flight girl your hubby will be home before easter and for your anniversary... I am so happy for you girl...

Waiting my dear, I really have to put away my wants and really think about my husband in this... He did not want to stay either but his mother is getting married and he is an only child. This is the first time in years that my mother in law is happy since my father in law got murdered 10 years ago.... I understand why she would want her son to be present and I have no problem at all with him staying... It is only fare that he stays and walks her down the aisle before he leaves for another country... I really think that 2 months is a very short wait considering I have been waiting already since 2007 when we started our relationship.... I will have him for the rest of my life... I am quite patient and unselfish so I have no problem sharing my husband with his mother as I feel he should be there even though I would love for him to be here. My dear, I am sorry that you feel jealous but unfortunatly I am not the one that makes any decision regarding Kingston. Like I said before I understand that feeling as I have felt it before but I think it is much more productive when you stay positive as it attracks positive things...
