Hi, my name is Debbie, I am from Winnipeg MB and my husband is from Jamaica. We filed our immigration papers in June, and was approved in August by the Canadian government. I was informed Jamaica received my papers on September 7th. Since then I haven`t heard anything. Its quite disheartening so I am looking for answers from anyone in a similar situation.

Hi Debbie and welcome to the forum. You came to the right place. There are quite a few people currently on the forum with applications submitted to Kingston in September. I assume that your husband did not receive an AOR in the mail. It is so discouraging and there are many of us here that are anxiously waiting to hear something. The good news is that there are a few people who have seen go straight through who's applications were around the same time and even from October. Have you been able to log onto ECAS?

I am so happy i found this forum where I meet women with similarities. I am so happy to know am not alone. I just wanted to get anyones update or opinion on my situation I sponsorerd my hubby and is currently waiting. we sent in appli in sept 2010to missisauga recieved letter in oct stating am eligible to sponsor ,my husband got a letter in nov stating his app was recived his current status on ecas is in progress medical have been recived, now march 2011 got a letter saying rprf is due and must be paid which we did,now how long after u think they will call him to get his passport? thanks.

When i talked to the immigration lawyer about sending all the money in at once or just partial she said its not a good idea because if they have to send you a letter to send in the rest it sets you back 3 months, anyone else here this before?

Mrs Proper.. My lawyer told me it takes you back also but said 6-8 weeks... now we know that kingston is slow... so i wouldnt be surprised if it would be 3 months but they are also very unpredictable so we never know what to expect with Kingston...

Irving... we are still left in the dark about the bring forward date of 60 days.. this is more an asumption I think... Anyways I am praying its 60 days cause hubby got a call on feb. 3 about misplaced medical.. provided them with the info they needed and they said they would call back and nothing yet... but monday will make 60 days... so lets hope monday is my lucky day lol....

Mrng Newbies....MrsLonelywife and Jaruby....you have landed in the right place.

We I hope KGN will make some wonderful calls this week...They have had our file since Sept. 3rd, 2010 and we have only received the AOR....I did not pay all fees upfront but did pay the balance in January and KGN received notification on Feb.7, 2011. I am praying and hoping that by the end of april we will hopefully get some kind of request from them.....I dont care what it is just as long as they touch the file...lol

SOme days I am so ok but other days I feel so discouraged but I am certainly try to see the brighter side of things like....when hubby comes being able to go to sleep with him beside me every night, going home to him every evening, going out to events with him or even simple being able to call him on the phone locally....lol

I guess what we all need to remember is that if we are either 1 month or 7 months in the process at least we are in and it has and end coming its just a matter of time....prayer is the key.....

Where is Waiting or lilmaya with our morning devotion?

Ladyposh... I totally agree with you... no matter how far along in the process we are its still the same... we are all left in the dark... I find the past 60 days for me were the worst but I have been trying to stay positive... not knowing if they will find the medical or if when hubby provided them with the MD number if that will be good enough... not knowing what is happening with the file is the worst..

On the good side of things I did what I could do so order the CAIPS and called the MP... So the rest is outta my power so I just gotta sit and wait see what happens I know that hubby wont get here before time so I'm just sitting back and relaxing... I dunno why I feel so anxious for monday....

well I just want to encourage you that KG is like that dont worry too much because really worry will only bring you grey hair, and believe me I have some and its at the front of my head too, not good not good, lol
I sent in my package in feb, approved in march, it reached JA the next day march 24, hubby received letter in april, ECas updated to:we started processing ******* ***** on april 12, 2010, we heard nothing from them, untill feb 23, 2011 requesting meds and police redo and also originals, we submitted them and heard nothing from them till march 16 requesting interview, thanks be to God he was succesful on his interview and they kept pp and told him to pick up 2 wks toDATE of interview
EVEN TO THIS DAY ECAS STILL SAY we started processing ******* ***** on april 12, 2010, TO MY UNDERSTANDING IT SHOULD BE SAYNG DECISION MADE.

TO THE OTHERS WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH: PAY ALL YOUR FEES AT TIME OF SUBMITTING APPLICATION, AND IF YOU HAVE EXTRA COPIES OF ORIGINAL SUBMIT THEM TOO, AND DONT DO YOUR MEDICAL UNTILL ALL PAPERS ARE READY TO BE SENT OFF, AS THIS EXPIRES IN A YEAR AND IF REDO IS NEEDED THATS AN AUTOMATIC 2 MTHS ADDED.
