Does it seem to anyone else like they are calling everyone in for interviews now? I noticed that alot of people I know filing seem to be getting called in now vs before where maybe it's just me...but it seemed like most of them got waived. I have no problem if we have to do an interview...but it is always another added stress to the process!

ebonyshine if funds permit, if your medical expire by the date of the interview maybe it would be good for him to redo it and when he is there give them the copy which will save them the time of asking for it, also order CAIPS to see why the interview was requested and bring proof of continued communication so that he can get a yes and VISA same day wouldnt that be the best news on halloween

Congrats ebony!!! I am so happy for you… You and hubby must be so pumped as you guys have a date to look forward to… Start preparing paper work and hubby for the interview

Lilmaya… my hubby says he does not miss Jamaica but he does say he misses his mom… Sometimes I can see that he may miss certain things like the food but he does not complain one bit… so I guess its good news

Sanchester… just a heads up my hubby did not receive his PR card yet… It says 43 business days on the site so that means they would of sent it last Wednesday so we should receive my hubby’s card sometimes this week… btw I thought u were aware of the drivers licence thing or else I would of let you know… opps..

Ked… hubby is aiight… he doesn’t love his job lol but he is managing!!!

Irving… the international licence is a waste of money just get a letter with date from the island traffic authority and it needs to state the type of licence they had and for how long and also a driving record and you just need the regular licence and the letter and voila

You have plently of time to prepare, gather additional evidence and ace that interview! Hubby will be home in October girl!! Sanchester : That's right ... there is a new Cleo in town So my husband should go to the Jamaican consulate here in Ontario with just his Jamaican license and he'll get a letter and that's it??

Kedeisha : 2 Weeks today?!?!? Is that real? Yes girl, i'm in Bramcity. If you know of a team that would be great, we'll be able to line something up for him for next summer. I'm registering my son for indoor and was trying to convince my husband to coach to get his soccer juices flowing, but he thinks the kids won't understand his accent. LOL.

lonely_wife : It has to be so hard for them to leave not only their country but their family and friends behind. Especially the mamas, but of course that is to be expected. Travelling back to Jamaica together as husband and wife to spend time with those loved ones will be all the more special next time. Do you guys have any Jamaica plans in the near future?

lilmaya-i have a fren that plays in the west too! I'll find out from him! My hubby plays as well and is already telling me to look into something! Only thing is we are on the other sid of town! Looks like we may have to start a league!

Proper- I wish it was ppr but I know we have to redo meds and not hearing anything at all since nov was killing me. So i'll take anything! Wish it sooner but hopefully they picked such a far date to give us time to redo meds. who knows??? Praying for you guys! Hangs in there!

Sanchester-My cousin was telling me about going to the consulate for a letter to get G license here. Irving's method sounds great but sounds too good to be true! : Irving let us know if the international license thing works cause I'll tell hubby to do that instead!

Hey!

Yup, just go to the consulate with $30.00 and the license and you'll get the letter within a couple of days.

The thing is, is that you can either get your G2 or G license. The trick is, if you fail the G road test you have to wait a year to apply again and you get stuck at G1. If you decide to just do your G2 license and you fail, you can do your G2 over and over and over again.

I tried to look up the International Drivers License and it sounds like its more for tourists, but I dunno... I dont understand how that whole thing works. The women told my husband that he could use his Jamaican license for a year without having to get an Ontario License. BUT, if you start the process of getting the Ontario License your Jamaican License is Void.

Good Morning Everyone,

Thanks girls for the soccer lookout. My husband looks at all the empty soccer fields and just can't believe he hasn't seen a team he can join. He says if we wait until next season he will "seize up". We spent a few hours on Sunday playing Dance Dance Revolution on the Wii so now he's on the lookout for a Wii Soccer game he can play so he doesn't lose the touch.

ebonyshine : It is too bad you don't live closer as i'm sure the hubbies would form a team for true! Do you have any names picked out? Are you going to find out the sex of the baby? I wish I could be one of those people who wait til delivery and make it a surprise but there is too much shopping and preparation to do to not know!!

Sanchester : We will have to look into the hours and get down to that consulate. My husband is not in a hurry to get his license still. He is doing very well getting around on transit and since we will only be able to afford one car for now (for a LOOONG time) it is no big rush but it's something we are thinking about. I have been in Ontario for almost 2 years now and just last month changed over my licence. What is the difference between a G or a G2?
