G'day to all my forum peeps...hope everyone is well. Sorry to hear about the tire blow out ladyposh!!

Ebonysunshine..hoping you hear something soon. It scares me when I see people go through these long waits. Wondering whats up. So hoping you hear back something soon girl!!

Hubby and I just wish we would get a call or email or something with our file number. So at least we have something to work with. We know its to early to get impatient...but I can deal with things if I just know we are in the system!:)

Hoping for some serious updates for y'all still waiting!! xx

waiting-for-a-star: I am surprised your husband is driving already. My husband was in Canada for 2 years and he didn't drive. I did let him drive my car once and it caused a fight because I was making that inhaling noise like i was terrified and he's like forget this. LOL. What does he think of Canada so far?

We just got back from the gym. Today was quiet so i'm looking forward to tomorrow. Sure to see some big movements!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA lil maya your post cracked me up because that inhaling noise is the same one I used to make when I first moved to Jamaica and I had to bear my husbands crazed " used to be a taxi man when I was just a yute" driving. My husband drove taxi when he was about nineteen/twenty and it forever changed his driving...for the WORSE LOL. He is an incredible driver with perfect control...something your forced to admit, IF you survive the ride without a fatal heart attack LOL!!

That noise...it drove my husband UP THE WALL. He started buying lottery tickets saying if he won, he'd buy me my own car so he didn't have to drive with my constant gasping and white knuckled grip on the car handle! LOL :P

So glad to see a fresh new thread for Kingston that welcomes newbies. Thanks for starting this Waiting! Just so you know where I'm at right now. Just sent an email to Kingston to inquire about our status. I made it appear as though I was updating our file with my husband newly acquired degree and then just threw in the question regarding status update at the end. So far I've been lucky
how do i check the status of my husband app in kingston please advise

Good morning newbies.

Welcome Needmyhusband, nice to have you join the family here. In order to check your husband's application online you can do it 2 ways. Either by checking under your Client # or under his file # if you have received it already on your AOR. You can do this by going on to the immigration Canada website under "Online application status" and inputting all the required information. I hope this help, if you still having a problem please be sure to ask for clarification and someone we gladly assist you. Once again welcome and be sure to stay as this forum will help as you wait for your process to be completed.

Quote from today"s Daily Bread - Alternatives To Revenge

While there is a place for self-defense, personal revenge was forbidden in the Old Testament: “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Lev. 19:18; see also Deut. 32:35). It was also forbidden by Jesus and the apostles (Matt. 5:38-45; Rom. 12:17; 1 Peter 3:9).

The Old Testament law exacted like for like (Ex. 21:23-25; Deut. 19:21), which ensured that judicial punishment was not unjust or malicious. But there was a larger principle looming when it came to personal revenge: Justice must be done, but it must be left in the hands of God or the authorities ordained by God.

Instead of returning injury and insult, may we live by Christ-honoring and Spirit-empowered alternatives: Live at peace with everyone (Rom. 12:18), submit to a spiritual mediator (1 Cor. 6:1-6), and leave it in the hands of authorities and, most of all, in God’s hands.

Lord, when I’m troubled by the insult of another,
help me to let go of my desire for revenge. May I seek
justice but also realize that it will happen in Your
time. I want to learn to overcome evil with good. Amen.

Leave final justice in the hands of a just God.

Have a blessed day all.
