Morning Newbies....well its the weekend and I am here at work and the weather looks so lovely, i need to cut out this weekend thing when hubby gets here for sure!!!! Goona need those weekends for other things...lol!!!

I, too, had ecas tracker update. last week it updated and hubby's address was gone. this week hubby's address re-appear. we sent in additional information the other day so I'm hoping it means they are looking at a likkle bit....I hope anyway.

I saw that someone else (can't remember who) is in the same situation and timeline as we are. hubby has a son for which he has full custody. we have him on the application but not bringing him until hubby gets settled. meds, custody letter and other pertinent info was provided and I am hoping this isn't going to slow things too much. I think we are coming up in the cue soon.

C'mon KGN. Let's open a few files this week and start contacting folks!!!!!

lonely_wife :This morning my church had a park clean-up and a bbq so we were up early picking up garbage. The weather has been so beautiful today so we have tried to stay out as much as possible. I dropped my son for a few hours with his cousin and did a little shopping. Now we are stopped at the library for a bit and then home for the night. What about you.. what you got going on?

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. Sounds like tomorrow will be back to the gloom and rain so enjoy this sunshine while it lasts!!

Good morning everyone!!

Lilmaya... lucky you... I'm jealous a bit lol you get to enjoy the nice weather and BBQ lol while I am sleeping lol... I havent been doing too much... Just trying to run around and do little things to take care of my things of some of my business before I get busy with school as I start tomorrow my 2 online classes... I also have a start cleaning out the closets of my place at some point soon I keep putting it off cause it's gonna be a huge job and I want to do all the closets I give myself til end of this month to have it finished Other than that nothing much is going on just working as usual trying to keep myself busy counting down the days

Well we got snow! Yep snow in Manitoba......

I mentioned before we have my husbands boys on the application but are not bringing them until my hubby is settled and working. We did their meds and sent in with initial application, but did no pay for their PR. My husband does not have custody. I have heard since that there is form to get the other parent to sign saying we had permission to take the boys out of the country. But I figured we could do that down the road. I am sure our friend who just arrived in Canada did the same as us and had no problem. Could this be holding us up....I really don't think so because of our friend and I know her mother has no intention of letting her daughter come to Canada to let her live here.

lonely_wife : Sounds like a very productive weekend for you! When you have an actual countdown I can imagine it's easier to get motivated. Trust me, i just look around at all the stuff that needs to be done.... that I should be doing and do anything but!! I know that when I do get that phone call that my husband is finally coming home... i will be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off!

So as far as the boys, do you have them on the form as accompanying or non accompanying? As far as I know, if you have them on the forms as non-accompanying then it is fine that you did not pay the fee but you still need to include some sort of document that states the custody arrangements for the children. I think it's only for them to know that in your husband's absence, the children are still being taking care of. My husband has a daughter who we are not bringing now but intend to sponsor further down the road. Since there was no official custody agreement between him and the mother, I called CIC and they said to include a notorized letter stating that the child would be fully taken care of by the mother. I don't think that would hold you up, however they may ask for it.. i'm just not sure.

The boys were noted as not coming initially with my hubby. Hopefully we will hear something this week, must be close to being our turn.
