Hello All,

For CEC immigration class:

I got this message on my on-line status "We started processing your application on March 25, 2011.

We transferred your application to the New York office on June 22, 2011. The New York office may contact you."

My questions are:- 1) When can I expect the medical requests?

2) How long does it take after the medical requests?

3) Is NY the slowest consulate out there?

Thanks,

1) I don't know, but if you live in Canada, I would do medicals ASAP, "in advance". More info at the link below.
2) Possibly 2-5 months after you do your medicals.
3) Based on the past year or so, I'd say yes. Or tied with LA for the honour.

The best source of information about processing times is the trackitt.com tracker: http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/canadian-experience-class Look for cases being processed at New York. All cases are different, but you can get an idea of "typical" times in the recent past: time from AOR to medical request, time from medicals done to passport request, etc.

thanks for the info. yes mine was sent to Buffalo but then it was transferred to NY.

and its been 5 months since the AOR. and 2 months since the transfer to NY, so thats why i was getting nervous.

thanks,

hi. it took 4 months for the immigration to response from the date of my file transfer..... :( too slow...

so hbic - after 4 months what did they reply with? did they ask for medical? what stage is your immigration now?

thanks,

my file was transferred to ny on april 5th. and i received the medical request on july 29, but the letter was dated july 20. so just don't worry..
