Hello,

Created this post for all those CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS (CEC) applicants whose file got transferred to NEW YORK so that we can get a sense of the timeline.

My timeline:

Applied: to Buffalo Office
Transferred to New York: 10th May 2011.
Haven't yet received medical forms or any other request. Last communication was the notice of the file transfer. Anyone on the same boat? please share your experience and recommendations..

Thank you

hi, my file was tranferred to new york on april 5th 2011. and i received my medical request on july 29, but the letter was dated july 20. just check my info. probably in the next 2 weeks you will be getting a letter from VO.

Applied 2010 August 05 to Buffalo, file transferred to NY April 12th. No medical examination letter received yet. So worried~~~

Thanks hbic! for sharing your experience and timeline..

Did you receive an email saying that the medical were sent out before you got the package in the mail? I haven't received any email about the medical yet so just wondering what to expect first?

btw, how far have you reached in obtaining ur PR

thanks

wanabe, you should hear something within the next couple of weeks, I expect. For some reason, the NY office sends a lot of stuff by snail mail instead of email, so that can add to communication delays.

But you are now just at the end of the 90 days, so I think you will hear something soon.

My file was also transferred to New York May 10th, I got passport request by snail mail August 3rd, sent July 28th, I did my medicals in advance May 12th. Sent my passport for stamping this week.

Good luck to you

hi wannabe, i didn't get an email from them. just a postal mail.

hi wannabe, just done medical aug 3. i haven't heard from DMP regarding medical, which is a good sign. so, im going to send my RPRF now. what i'm waiting now is, "medical results have been received", to be reflected in my e-cas. and from there, gonna wait for PPR which is probably will take about 2 months. i hope earlier.

Thanks for all your replies!

Hbic, I got my medical forms yesterday! You were spot on! Thanks.

Regarding your RPRF fees,
1. which address are you mailing the draft to?
2. How much is it? The link they sent on the letter lead to a chart with different PR caregories and their associated fees but I don't see the Canadian experience class in there? Please advice.

Thanks

address it to the new york visa office. there is the VO address in the letter.

RPRF is $490. payable to "receiver general for canada"

Thanks

Thank you so much!! You are good at this! Please keep me posted when you hear from them regarding your next steps.. Seems like I'm just a few steps behind you so I'd like to know what to expect ahead of time!
