Chad is your application in HK or Shanghai. I was really hoping that Canada Visa Office should follow Canada holidays.

I have heard its possible, but I highly doubt it. It should go to proceasing first. This is IRCC so something as simple as updating should happen. Other know it alls here may think different.

I would prefer my file was at my home visa office in receive mode than all the way in Shanghai, what am concerns about they is still a possibility for my file to tranfer back from Shanghai to my home office wasting alot of time in between

Totally hear yah. I was very surprised when mine Jan 27 received and feb 1 processing on ecas. Also gckeys had aor 2 letter from hk.

AOR 2 is the key, I just hear my file is at Shanghai vo. without AOR2 are without a update I can say with a 100 % that I know where my file is for sure

yah thats why until you see in processin I believe no officer has picked it up

Exactly, they shouldnt have had any days off. Not a Candian holiday so work. Always excuses and people wonder why they have no money. Amazing. Work!

They get the same number of statutory days as other Canadian employees. Just on different days of the year (some).
