Seems

to be Indians only have been posting there..
Sorry I don't know the ethnicity of the posters however the visitor visa process is an IRCC process that is followed by all visa offices around the world. There are many factors they consider when granting someone a visa including which country application comes from and the country specific issues when verifying applicant information. The delay in processing is across the board, with some visa offices having large backlogs. Sorry don't know how else to help you.

Most of the spousal sponsorship applicants are denied visitor visas to Canada when they apply anyway so we don't have many success stories.

Again for your case it has to do with backlogs at the AVO. You need to write to them to follow up and see what the delay is.

Hello,

Yes it is normal as it now takes approximately 1 month to get visa back. From 3 to 4 weeks.

Also, are you tracking it via your VFS Centre link that they provided?

Hello, welcome to forum. The average wait time is 12 months until decision and a few more weeks after that to get visa and COPR back. There could be various delays as each case is different. However they are trying to shorten the wait times. Good luck!

Hi,

The process varies for everyone. It is about 10 to 15 months on average to decision (lately about 12) and an extra one month for getting visa back. Because every case is different there is no way to exactly pinpoint when someone's case will be finalized unfortunately.

New to this thread. We got pre arrival and expecting ppr in no time. My wife is the principal applicant while I'm the sponsor, she resides in Enugu , Nigeria at the moment.
My question: How much does it cost by dhl sending documents to VFS Lagos to be forwarded to AVO? And how much costs the VFS + whatz the very recent timeline of return if passport. Just curious to know and be prepared.
Tnx ppl
