for some etobicoke is quick, for others still waiting. I don’t think it’s a specific officer anymore once it gets to the portal stage. I also do not believe it’s a laziness issue. It seems, for the most part, some emails just don’t get read for whatever reason, they could end up in their junk mail folder and end of day/week/month someone scans through them

Well, if its not a officer, then it should be same speed for everyone (tend to agree with spam thingy). But its an inbox that will be pounded with emails all the time. Its obvious they need to check spam. By laziness, I meant more of leaves and vacations. I still think the officers handle a chunk of people it as I have received officer ID in the subject line of 1st portal email. At the end of the day, we can only speculate and hope for the best. Do push if its getting delayed.

hi fellows, i just received PR portal login and signed in .. my spouse is Outland and we already received the "ready for Visa' email to submit her passport in home country ..

In portal, i see two accounts, my name and other with title ' Created in error' , so my question is do i need to fill in the details for her , even if she's Outside Canada or should i just fill out my own and provide photo/address and leave other blank???

Does anyone experience it ??

We can just guess. 2 weeks to 6 months and waiting folks. The sample size is less and sample space is more. So, sorry, the answer to this question is "luck"

I have the same question. In addition, can I update SIN with just the eCOPR printout ? Or should I wait for PR card?

Just eCoPR document is enough. Sign it on customer copy and walk-in to service canada, just check if service canada in your area allows walk-in.

yes i got ready for visa email in the morning time (eastern time) and PR portal first email in the evening same day.

2nd Portal email received today (<24 hours from 1st portal email). I replied with PR photos in 30 seconds. Nice and easy. One login for all dependants. Sweet !
IMPORTANT TIP -- DO NOT try to create portal login yourself. You will land into HUGE delays. Wait for the password from IRCC. (Experience from a WhatsApp group member)

Waiting for copr? Contact your MP. I got mine the day after my MP contacted IRCC and my friend got his too after he contacted his MP.

Is there anyone who choose option A and got dependent informations too? My spouse is in Canada I choose option A they sent me credentials email for login but there are only my photo and address sectionsz nothing for wife, is that normal?

all my dependents are in my credentials including my kids that are outside Canada, but only me and my wife uploaded photos.

It’s not automatic, or at least not completely. A living, breathing, stinking human being is still doing the sending out of the emails. Order the GCMS notes and you will see their IDs and notes that have been written by them. In my case, the first and the second emails were sent out by 2 different officers.

Hi All, I received my Client portal email on 25th June ( I got the credentials and uploaded my docs) and today I received it again at 12:50 AM with today’s date.
What does this mean ? Was this by mistake ?

The same thing happened to me last night! I already received a portal invite email on June 8th and on July 8th they sent me another one!!
Wth!
I of course replied back with all the details they asked for + an explanation that I already have a portal account & to just give me darned eCOPR already!

The same happened to me a month after already having submitted my declaration, photo and address.
1st email: 19 May
Credentials & declaration: 20 May
1st email again: 21 June
COPR: it sure feels like I’ll be getting it some time in 2022

I responded to both emails and called them right away after the 2nd one and the helpline agent practically told me that they are both clueless and useless, and IRCC as a whole is just an incompetent branch of government because they, the people that implement this system and have this one fucking job, also don’t have a single clue of what’s going on and couldn’t give a single f*€k about it.
You can submit web forms and formal complaints if you’d like, but nothing will lead to an answer. They don’t care.

All you can really do now is wait. Your fate is no longer in your own hands.

Going by the trend that I’ve seen, perhaps this 2nd one was sent out automatically based on a monthly notice the system has.

If my prediction is correct, we will either be receiving the COPR or another first portal email again at the 2 months point.

Edit: my 2-months point is about 10 days away so I will be able to confirm this soon.

Hi i am waiting for COPR. I have a closed work permit that expires on 9th December 2021. My question is that can I apply for a BOWP today (As on today my wp is valid not more than 5months) that is valid from 10 august 2021 (validity of my current work permit will be less than 4 months on 10th August) @mapple007 do you have an idea?
