Friend's? Relatives? Someone you know well who has a own house etc?Hi guys,
I received the PR portal credentials today. But I am in a bit of doubt because the current address that I am living in is not gonna be the same by August 14 and I still haven't finalized the new place. What address should I give in the PR portal as they say that they will send the pr card to the address that we give?
Any pointers are appreciated.
won't giving someone else's address be an issue considering that they are gonna review the address?Friend's? Relatives? Someone you know well who has a own house etc?
I dont think they specified anywhere that the address should match the records / proofs etc. Usually when people land for the first time in Canada, they dont even have any address. There was no problem with that. I guess should be ok now. But lets hear other's opinion.won't giving someone else's address be an issue considering that they are gonna review the address?
You should be fine. The address they asked for is a mailing address - not your current residential address.won't giving someone else's address be an issue considering that they are gonna review the address?
I would provide them with the old address and then pay Canada post for their forwarding services a week before you move so in case it arrives after you moved the PR card would still be sent to you. You could also include your new address and a week before you move, submit a webform telling them you're moving so they update your address. Like other people say, providing with a friend or family members mailing address would also be a good choiceHi guys,

Forwarding is not a good choice. If the envelope says DO NOT FORWARD which I think it will, the PR cards will either go back or will be delivered to the mailbox of new tenants.I would provide them with the old address and then pay Canada post for their forwarding services a week before you move so in case it arrives after you moved the PR card would still be sent to you. Oh I didn't know this! In that case it is a bad idea, my badForwarding is not a good choice. If the envelope says DO NOT FORWARD which I think it will, the PR cards will either go back or will be delivered to the mailbox of new tenants.
