New PR confirmation portal

Nope, I’m not with Etobicoke. I’ve got my GCMS notes after the portal account was created and it’s written on the notes that, in my case, this new clusterfucked portal is exclusively handled by Very Lazy Unit, Operating Slowly Centre.

Previously, the application processing itself was entirely handled by an officer at CPC-Ottawa (eligibility, criminality, security, and info sharing).

Have you ordered your GCMS notes and received it by any chance? My theory’s still that those of us waiting since May are unfortunately placed in the dreaded “CN COVID GROUP”. With CN likely standing for “Care? Not-a-fucking-chance!”.

Its a slow race between Slowbicoke and Very Lazy Unit. Not much choice within the parent org called (I)ts (R)eally (C)rappy and (C)onfusing.

Guyz, i have one basic ques. I got my ecopr on 21st June. Before that I was on closed work permit which is valid until next year. After ECOPR, I applied for permanent SIN and got it from service canada. Do I need to change my health card also or I can just continue using it until next year and during renewal provide COPR as immigration document?

Can anyone confirm what should be Original entry date? I visited canada first time in 2012 on business visa(2 months only) .After which my passport got renewed in 2016.After which I am in Canda on WP since 2018.So Original entry date should be 2012 or 2018 one?

Hi, I applied through a consultancy for PR and I received my e-COPR email on June 18. Do i need to follow any other steps/process to get my PR card or I just need to wait ? I uploaded photos and my address details in the portal and it shows "under review with IRCC"

If you are in Canada, then the information has been sent to VO which will contact you and initiate the process of issuing you the COPR electronically.

I also have a similar question… so I was in Canada on work permit back in 2015 and then left Canada in 2016 and then came back again in 2020 on work permit again.. my ecopr have 2020 entry date as last entry as well as original entry date.. so here should original entry date be 2015 or 2020?

i got ecopr on May 26th, signed it and applied online for SIN on May 31st . My GCkey account was not updated initially but later on June 19th it was updated to approved. I have not received my SIN yet so i called Service Canada and i got this baffling response : "your application is not processed yet because we are not able to validate your PR document with IRCC. SIN registry is still waiting to hear back from IRCC. The person on the call said IRCC has not updated your status in the IMMIGRATION SYSTEM!!!" which system are they talking about? my application is approved, have the copr, sevice ontario has issued me new healthcards...why cant service canada validate the document??? i am so confused on what to do next! would it help if i visit service canada personally....if yes, wat wud happen to my already in process online application?

This is common issue. Just give it 2-3 weeks and it should be resolved. The federal government has a registry where they can look up the immigration status. Provinces only need physical documents.

I linked my pr card yesterday so i didn’t receive any and in the evening i received an email that your card is approved and mailed it to u

@Jasaman but i believe your pr was approved back in 25th may…right? So it does not matter if or when you link the or card application…it just took its sweet time just you linked late..I believe it would have come even if you don’t link it
