Hi, We landed in early November of 2021 and faxed the address update form to mail the PR card to a Canadian address. It has been almost five months, and we have not yet received the PR cards. The processing time as per the IRCC site is 103 days. The status check page says that the application cannot be found.

We emailed IRCC a couple of months back, and they responded that the application is in progress. I have a couple of questions

1. How long does it usually take to get a new card?
2. Do application for the new cards show up on the status check page? If so, when will that page actually show the status instead of saying that the application is not found. I searched based on both Client Identification number and COPR number

Try calling and through your MP's office as well. Frankly the issue that seems to come up from time to time is just that address updates don't 'take' and you can imagine what happens later.

Meaning: there's a chance it has been sent to the original address on file and is basically lost.

1. New PR card is taking around 102-103 days as per processing times.
2. The page you are using referring to DO NOT show details of new PR cards. Its is only for specific cases which are mentioned on error page (point 3) . To obtain status of PR card, one of the ways could be to link it to GCKey using steps mentioned here - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account/link-paper-online.html

However, on GCKey you will not have any update up until your card is approved. Best luck !

Great! I think it can take upto 6 weeks as mentioned on IRCC portal. But shouldn't take that long I guess.

Hey all,

I landed in Canada on 26 Dec in Vancouver and since then have received no mail or communication about my PR card. My COPR was signed at the border and clearly states "PR since 26 Dec 2021"

What I have tried:
- Linking PR card application on cic - says could not be found
- Checking for status - says could not be found
- Filling the web form - Get just the automated reply and nothing else
- IRCC helpline - after going through all the hoops they disconnect saying they are too busy.

I'm getting quite worried now cause it's been over 3 months. I can't get my medical or drivers license without the PR card so very confused on what to do.

Does anyone have suggestions for what else I can do to get this to work?

My mom landed at YYZ recently; I was able to link her PR card application to her My Account the following day, status says "submitted". Website today says 106 days for processing.
