if ur application is straightforward it will only take 4-6months and you will get PPR
I thought our case is quite straightfoward but no news :(
4year age gap, both first time marriage, marriage with both family members with 40+ persons,
same country of origin, similar religions, etc..
What I only got is a requirement of add docs that can prove intention to settle in canada after pr process on 6 feb this year..

You might want to update your profile so your timeline is shown. Just go to Profile and click on Forum Profile Information.

Re: your case - the VO obviously would like to see more proof of your intention in settling back to Canada. If I may ask, what have you sent so far when you first sent the application package?

At the first time, I sent letter from my family in law that presenting we'll live together in canada, and explanation letter of our settlement plan in canada because at that time we were both in south korea, living together.. After that my wife(sponsor) and me moved to canada on last december ???
And for the add doc, We sent sponsor's phone bill, health card, several letters that sent to home in canada, acceptance letter from local college, some letter of explanation and our future plan in canada..

We have had an annoying week. 6 months ago, my wife has a request for an updated NBI clearance. The day after the request, she emailed it to them. That was the last we heard for the Visa Office. A few days ago, we both received an email saying that they never received the document and that we had 30 days to comply with the request.

I emailed it to them right away. Since then, I have stopped in to visit my MP. I showed proof that the email was sent to the Visa Office back in October. The MP's office is now going to investigate why it took 6 months for them to discover they didn't have it...and to also investigate what happened to the email that was sent to them back in October. And third, to make sure that the one I sent a few days ago in fact, has made it into our file.

We will see where this leads us. I'm a little frustrated that the last 6 months has been a total waste of time.

Hi There

I just joined this site to see if I get get some help and insight on writing a letter of invitation for my Filipino girlfriend I have how lives in Davao. I visited her this past Christmas for a few weeks there. I would like to invite her here for a maybe a few months.
I see there are paid services to write these letters. I am not sure if that is necessary. Is there examples of "good" letters to write somewhere? Things I should avoid saying? I have never been in this kind of situation before so not sure what to expect. I am hoping it is pretty straight forward. I would like to bring her here for July of this year. Any help would be appreciated.
I apologize in advance if I am writing this in the wrong place...didn`t see where to start a new topic.
Thanks in advance..Salamut
