Still waiting for updates. Background check in progress (for a while now). No new messages on myCIC.
Very happy to see others from around the same application timeframe getting their PPR and Visas.

I'm not sure when it actually started - I only managed to link the application to myCIC (and order notes) about 10 days ago. It's been In Progress since before then.

Prior to that I was just trying to wait as patiently as possible. We got Sponsor Approval on November 10...

Halos same lang po tyo ng app filed tapos na din po ako sa med and napass ko na. BC in Progess. Waiting for PPR nalang pero wala sila hinihinging additional docs. Bat ganun sis?

Normal lang ba na wala pa akong naririnig sa kanila since AOR2 (December 06, 2016). Yung mga kasabayan ko kasi nahingan na ng kung anu-ano, sa akin wala pa. Haha. Iniisip ko baka mali email address ko sa kanila eh. Hehe.

Happy to share the timeline and story, thus far:

CPC-Missisauga Application Received: Oct 17th, 2016.
Sponsor Approval: Nov 8, 2016.
Forwarded to Manila office: Nov 10, 2016

There was some confusion because when they were processing the sponsor application at CPC-M they decided to remove our son from the PR application (and send me a refund for his fee) because they said that he wasn't eligible for PR since he may be eligible for citizenship because I am a Canadian citizen. I actually had to send a case specific request to Manila explaining that he is not eligible for citizenship directly because of the first-generation rule - he was born in Japan and I was born in the US but got Canadian citizenship as a teenager. They re-attached him to the application around Nov 28, 2016 and we haven't heard anything from them since.

Hope the mess they created is all sorted out. Have you ordered your notes or anything? What does it say on your myCIC and ECAS?

We ordered notes about a week ago, but that takes up to 31 days according to the ATIP website.

On myCIC it says Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results - Passed
Scheduling an interview - Not needed at this time
Background check - In Progress
Final Decision - Not Started

OH MY GOODNESS!!! - I just checked on ECAS and it says:
Permanent Resident Application Status - Decision made!!!

- when I click the Decision made link it only shows:
We received your application for permanent residence on October 17, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

Very excited now!!!
