Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm not sure if I'm on the right place to ask this question, but I would like to try. I'm newly married to a Filipino Guy, and I'm a Canadian citizen. We are both living here in Quezon City, and we are planning to start my hubby's spousal application ASAP. However, our marriage certificate is still not registered in NSO/PSA. I already tried to ask Civil Registry to give an endorsement letter, but they told me that they dont do that and I have to wait for months before we can request for marriage cert from NSO/PSA. Now, my question is, can I use our marriage cert issued from Civil Registry?

I think there's a requirement of how long you need to be together before applying?

You will definitely need the Marriage cert from NSO/PSA and many other documents. It helps if you have a well-documented relationship. There are new rules out that I'm not familiar with as they recently changed last December! Good luck!

Hello! Similar timelines! We just submitted the documents a few days before you. We had someone deliver it to the office (the cert of marriage) and we emailed the info on the same day. Good luck to you both!! The email notification is enough to make your heart skip a beat!

We needed to submit the opposite of the CENOMAR -- Basically it was a request for a CENOMAR but it would show a Certificate of Marriage (different pa pala from a marriage certificate!!) and we needed to fill in about 11 months worth of personal history that we totally overlooked. :P

Oh wow! Last na po, VOH is Visa of ----?? haha! So many terms to remember!!

i know.. they have sent me 6 email notifications that they received my addtional docs.cause ive sent them 3 files for additional proof of communication documenting the development and current status of relationship.though my husband's medical status hasnt updated since day one i am postive that he passed as per the clinic's evaluation..i hope i will
be getting an email of his PPR in the Lord's perfect time..☝

Hi ulit. Yun bang pagsend mo ng AOM, original thru VAC/VFS? Meron ka rin bang request sa myCIC? Inignore mo na lang ba? Thank you.

Yes we sent it to the VFS site in Makati if I'm not mistaken. We just followed the instructions in the email -- original certified copy of AOM and we emailed the other request. Ignored the myCIC because the email stated not to send it more than 1 way or it will result in delays. We got an email confirmation regarding the email we sent but none for the AOM. We included a print out of the letter requesting for the document when we submitted it to the VFS.

As earlier asked by prvc, when did you get married? Which Civil Registry office did you register your MC? Endorsement letter will come from a Provincial Statistics Officer. Ours were registered in Makati and I had to go to the PSA (then NSO) serbilis office at that same location of Makati City Hall. Civil records are being sent out from the Civil Registry office by batch. In our case, I had to wait about 10 days before I was able to request for an endorsement letter. I was given a copy of the endorsement letter and a copy of the courier receipt (I actually paid about 100 pesos) which I brought over to the main PSA office. Once at the main PSA Office, I was given a stub with a date stamped on when I could pick up my requested PSA copy of our MC. I did request multiple copies just to make sure I already have extra copies in my file :)

I got our PSA MC about a month and a half from the date we filed it for registration. It could have been earlier if not to a Holy Week off at the time.
