Yes, my destination is Winnipeg. Ok, so Vancouver should be where I must do my landing. But after landing in Vancouver and undergo immigration process, can I leave the airport and do some sightseeing in Vancouver (for maybe a day) then fly to Winnipeg?

If possible try to book the flight to Winnipeg on the same booking as your Manila flight, if you can happen to find a next-day one.

Or else, you will be switching to a domestic flight, hence lower luggage allowances than if you had booked a connecting leg originating from Manila...so be prepared to pay extra for your luggage.

I as the sponsor received the UCI in email as well, this is normal. You will unlikely receive an email for this part of the process. However once the process begins in Manila you alone will be getting the emails.

So does dat means my husband's UCI no will be the one we'll be using in checking the ECAS for the meantime? Thanks again..

PDOS QUERIES

Hi, I am currently doing R&R for my PDOS and have some queries here. Hope somebody here can help me :)

1. Do I need to bring the same 2x2 or passport sized photo as the one I uploaded in the online form?

2. Do children exempted from PDOS still need to register online? Will they also pay the 400php fee?

3. My only valid ID (aside from my passport) bears my maiden name. will that be a problem?

4. Do I need to bring my CoPR with me?

thanks a lot :)

Thought this might help you. Just read carefully the requirements:

Although they will still take a photo of you there prior to officially attending the program, dala ka pa din ng ask nila na photo. Yung sa kin dati hindi na ko hinanapan kasi kukunan ka nila ng photo mismo doon and that is what going to be used on the certificate you will get later. Yun lang, dala ka na din para sure lang.

Yeah, we were also concerned about that bit as well. Ok, I'll see if we can find a (very) long layover in Vancouver.

Thank you :D

Hello! Anyone here who tried getting Visitor Visa prior to formally applying for PR under Family Spouse Sponsorship?
Hubby's family will be having reunion about 2 months from now. Been debating whether to pursue getting Visitor Visa first, then later file our application for PR. I'm thinking maybe 2 months stay only. Really cannot be longer than that because of kiddos back here.

Would appreciate any advice :)
