UPDATE: May 2015 applicant-my husband (currently working in Riyadh), received a phone call from Canadian Embassy Manila informing him that his permanent resident visa is ready for issuance, he was asked if he could land before April 8th before his medical's expiration, so now we're in a rush to comply his requirements like sending his passport to the Philippines, etc. So since his visa issuance is time sensitive, I believe it should be returned pretty soon. Anyone had this experience? how much time for you guys to get the passport returned? Because it has to be sent back to Saudi Arabia again. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone here:)

Did you email them that your medical was going to expire soon? My wife's medical is going to expire on Apr 13, so I'm wondering if we should follow up and let them know?

Congratulations! Great to know there are May 2015 applicants hearing back already. Has your ECAS status changed to "Decision Made" already? Any other May 2015 applicants with good news to share? :)

Yung pag-call ng Manila VO sa applicant na ready na for issue ang visa, ganon din po ba ang procedure dati or bago lang?

Hi blackeyes28,

Just want to ask, did they really request the IELTS for spouse sponsorship.. I have also IELTS certificate result , but I didnt include it in my application.. May applicant din po me...but until now in process pa rin.. My medical will expire on April..

''The validity of a permanent resident visa may not be extended. Nor can replacement visas be issued with
a new validity date. If foreign nationals do not use their visas, they must make a new application for a
permanent residence visa.
They must also pay a new application processing fee. If they have paid a right of permanent resident fee
(RPRF), they do not need to pay it again. The RPRF may be collected only once.
Sometimes, due to factors beyond their control, applicants receive visas that are valid for less than two
months. If they cannot travel before their visas expire, officers should update whichever requirement (e.g.,
medical) was used to set the visa validity. When a new validity date has been obtained, a new visa will be
issued.''
