Thank you for your early response.

As CIC website states 17 months processing time for spousal, common law and conjugal application.

I JUST WONDER IF THE CONJUGAL APPLICATION TAKES MORE THAN 17 MONTHS?

does anyone has experience on this?

After the wedding, get the marriage certificate asap. It took us 1 month to get it and it was express! Once you get it, you can apply. I suggest to fill up the application after the wedding(in fact you can do it anytime now and just change the date before you submit it), get it all done, so once you have the marriage certificate, you can send it right away. It's better to fill it up early, so you know what you might need and can get it asap.

It took us 4 months to get everything prepared since my wife had to change her last name in her passport and all Id's.

Here you go:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Part 1 is for your sponsor to fill up.
Part 2 is for the applicant to fill up.
Part 3 scroll down and look for Philippines. It's another application you both need to fill up. Mostly, the same as Part 1 or 2, just need a little bit more info.

Obviously, either one of you can fill up all of these, and it's pretty straight forward.

Mississauga Office received our application in May 22, 2015. Was sent to Manila in July 16 2015. Manila Immigration asked for the passport on Aug 10, 2015. So far no news.

Thank you loki123,

AICC,

Might be best if you send an email inquiry to MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca, it will take a while before they respond but the sooner you reach out, the sooner they'll respond. Also you can request for GCMS notes, it might show there what is causing the delay if there are any problems.

Goodluck

Same almost 6 months na rin pp ng spouse ko sa kanila. Nag email kami last week, and they gave us the same generic email that says our application is under the processing time. Let me know know kung ano sasabihin nila sa inquiry mo.

I agree, as long as you haven't exceeded the 17month processing period, they aren't too obligated to provide any more information and give you the generic answer, which I kinda understand given that the person replying to your email MAY NOT be the case manager looking at your file. Which is why I highly recommend GCMS notes instead of emailing manila immigration, or going thru MP's. AICC's passport may have been requested even while the background checks are still being completed, so the checks might not be done yet.

I'm not the case manager though so I may be wrong.
