maybe what the email from CEM is referring is the pre departure orientation seminars that the Canadian Government is offering. These seminars are COA( canadian orientation abroad) and CIIP ( canadian immigrant integration program). Cem emails applicants encouraging them to go for COA. I have received this email as well. But COA or CIIP sre optional. The PDOS offered by CFO( Commission on Filipinos Overseas) is mandatory. you need your visa for this one though.

When you go for upfront. You dont need to bring any forms. You will need to bring a form of IDentification. The imm 1017 is issued by CIC to you pag hindi ka nag upfront medical.

When you go for upfront, bibigyan ka nila ng emedical information sheet ( if your doctor is affiliated with the emdical system) or imm1017b ( if your doctor is on paper system, not emdical). You will then include this form to you application.

Just include a letter stating your circumstances and that you will eagerly look for a job. They will approve you basta you are NOT on any welfare.

Wala kaming nailagay na documents. Student kasi siya nun kaya nag attach na lang kami ng letter stating the situation and susuportahan muna kami ng parents niya while he looks for a job. He has a job now so if they need anything else magfoforward na lang siguro kami ng employment papers. :) You're welcome and God bless.

hi po eto po yung nabasa ko. sana po makatulong :) :)

When is the best time to order CAIPS/GCMS?

a. Before receiving your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR). If you have not received your AOR
then your CAIPS file will probably not have been created yet. But, requesting your CAIPS notes can
confirm whether the visa office has started processing the application or not, especially when there are
delays in sending out AORs.

b. After receiving your AOR. The preliminary points assessment will indicate whether your application
is evaluated accordingly to your expectations. For any problems, you have the opportunity to send an
additional documentation before a formal assessment. The BFD will indicate when to expect a formal
assessment of your application.

c. After receiving an invitation to an interview. The visa officers' notes will indicate why an interview is
required. During the interview it is crucial to address the visa officers' concerns, as outlined in the
notes.

d. After passing medicals and paying the Right of Permanent Residence fee (RPRF)
The normal reasons for delays after medical/RPRF are Canadian Security and Intelligence Service
(CSIS) security checks or processing errors. The CAIPS file will indicate if security checks have
been completed, and what other steps are outstanding if any.

e. Detecting and resolving processing errors. Obtaining your CAIPS notes allows you to check
your application for such errors or omissions and to resolve them early.

f. ADDITIONAL... when you already exceed the 6-9months processing time.

Ano ung GCM? D ko ata alam yan..

Parang eCAS yata kaso print out. Detailed process of what your application went through. Useful for applicants na nag exceed na yung processing time.
You can get more info at www.caips.ca
