It's been the same for her. When the email came, and she saw it was from CIC, she got excited. But after that, not so much.

Just curious, has anyone else ever received a phone call from the visa office? They phoned my wife back in late October with some questions. They wanted an updated criminal record search as well. Since that was sent to them, nothing more...except for the pre arrival emails.

Hello, I have a question, for those of you who submitted your form for spousal sponsorship, when you had to enter the middle name of your spouse, where did you put it? In the "name" category, or in the "other names you are known by" category?

I am asking because originally I put my spouse's middle name and last name in the "name category" (let's say Jasmine Gomez Floriza), but when I received the actual letter from the CIC it said that my "sponsorship for Jasmine Floriza was approved", with no mention at all of the middle name.

It gets confusing because I must also submit a form for Quebec undertaking, and there I am also ask to submit my spouse's name at birth, and there is no category at all for "other names".

Also, if you need to send more documents to the Manila Visa office, to which address must you send them?

Pinoy/Canadian ba si hubby mo? If he is, when sya naging can-citizen?

As for your son, he is your dependant when you apply for PR. If he is accompanying you, sabay kayo mabibigyan ng COPR once a decision is made.

About your stepson, if your husband is indeed Pinoy-Canadian or pure Canadian, there is no need for him to sponsor his son because the latter is considered Canadian na din. He just need to file Certificate of Citizenship at the embassy. Once the certificate is available, pwede nya na pagawan ng Canadian passport.

So possible po na Mkuhanan nia ng Canadian passport ung stepson ko, then we don't need to file for visa or need pa din po namen ifile for visa? As much as we want po Sana kasabay ko umalis ung mga bata. Do you think it's a good idea na pag sabay-sabayin na namen iprocess kameng 3?

Me, just only pre arrival emails .. Some applicants on this forum they received phone call if the MVO ask for the passport... For what i read PPR is either email or phone call ( i think if the medical is almost expired, thats why its urgent)

Hi prvc, yes mula sa 1st email pre arrival ko may "eligible" na sya.. Ganon ba talaga na ang ecas last nov pa ang last update ko??? Sa Mycic BC ko IP na feb 24.. Thank u sana nga dumating na PPR

There was a few questions, but the main line of questioning was on her criminal record search. She had gotten a spelling mistake corrected on her birth certificate, then gotten a criminal record search done. They wanted another criminal record search with the old spelling..the one with the spelling mistake. No problem.

They had also requested a couple days before the phone call, a copy of her daughters baptismal certificate.

We had thought that we were near the end of this process in late October, but now we need to exercise much more patience.

hello po pwede po magtanong kakaupdate ko lng po sa MYCIC namin ngaun lng..ung BC po namin dating not started naging IP na po sya..tapos nung nicheck ko sa ecas naman ung Permanent Residence Application Status ng wife ko naka DM na..tapos ung Sponsorship Application Status naka IP..ano po ibig sabihin nun..bakit hindi parehas lahat..thankyou po sa maayos na sagot
