I've read your recent posts and you said hindi mo dineclare yung bata even prior to getting your PR visa dahil wala ang name mo sa BC. You and the mother of the child had a problem and you were not married at that time.

You are now married to the mother of "your child" and you are sponsoring them.

You have been approved as a sponsor and the Applicant's file is now in Manila.

In my personal opinion, you have a good case and most likely the Applicant will be approved. The Affidavit you executed is a good gesture of showing you are an honest person Naisip ko lang na even without the Affidavit, as you are sponsoring your wife and "her child", as long as the Proof of Relationship is proven real and genuine, the Applicant will be approved as well as her dependent. But yes, the Affidavit will definitely help if in any case the visa officer would still ask for consent of either guardian or other parent of the child even if the father info on the BC is unknown.

Unless I am missing something, the above, as mentioned is my personal opinion

You mentioned na dependent ka ng Mom mo when you got your PR visa. Were you under 19 or under 22 years old during that time?

Sana nga po hindi magka problema pero im sure hihingi sila ng DNA kasi wala ako name sa BC ng bata, well d nman problema sa akin just in case na mag request sla dahil anak ko nman ang bata,

Sa ngayon Medical Received na status papers sa ECAS and im hoping na sana tuloy tuloy na po..

Hello po.

Magtatanong lang po sana ako about spousal sponsorship. Pag na approved na po ang spousal sponsorship after visa stamping pwede po bang hindi na umuwi sa Pinas? Balak ko sana ipadala nalang ang passport sa Pinas sa magulang ko then sila na magpadala sa VFS then after na tatakan ipapadala nalang nila saakin dito sa KSA. Kumbaga dito na ako manggaling sa Saudi bound to Canada para less expenses sana saaming mg-asawa. Hindi ba ako magka problema pagdating sa canada? Marami pong salamat.

When I came here as a tfw, I had MNL-HKG (Cathay); then HKG-YVR; YVR-YEG (Air Canada). I still picked up my luggages at YVR, went through Immigration, then checked them in for my Edmonton flight. I booked via travel agency in Manila.

When I had a vacation in the Philippines (already PR), same route but this time, via Cathay for the first two legs then West Jet for YVR-YEG, I also picked up my luggages and checked them in again. I booked via Expedia.

I think, I might be wrong but based on my experience, you will need to get your luggages at your first point of entry, Vancouver and need to check them in again for your domestic flight.

To be sure, when you check in your luggages in Manila, clarify with the ground personnel as he/she gives you your boarding passes (with your luggage stickers).

Hi everyone first of all I'd like to congratulate the people na nagkaupdate na sa mga application nila. I'm sure konti got kembot nalang PPR na kau ! I have already booked my flight and I'm leaving on the 15 December Philippine airline and Air Canada Manila-hongkong-Vancouver-Calgary. Id like to ask sana series of questions.
1. Port of entry ko is Vancouver right? So I need to show my documents sa immigration in Vancouver? So it means including customs right?
2. I only have 2hours 30mins layover sa Vancouver do you think I'll be able to catch next flight? I fear na baka maiwan ako hahah..
3.pag connecting flight naman diba the airline will immediately transfer ur checked in luggages sa next plane?

Hi sis! congrats sayo, and have a safe trip! Yung Decision Made ko sa ECAS, 2 weeks na pero wala pang PPR Anyway, eto yung sagot ko sa tanong mo.

1. You have to get your baggage sa Vancouver. Pagdating mo sa Vancouver airport, pila ka sa customs to declare kung ano yung dala mo don sa officer. Then, pupunta ka sa immigration to answer a couple of questions from the immigration officer. Then you have to pick up your baggage and check them in sa domestic flight mo. So technically, hindi yung airline ang magchecheck-in directly nung baggage mo pagdating mo sa Vancouver. (Pag nag-layover ka sa HK, sila na bahala magtransfer ng baggage mo from there to Vancouver)
2. 2.5 hours is okay, pero hindi ko sure kung super safe yung ganong interval nang flights especially kung dadaan ka pa ng customs and immigration plus yung time na icoconsume mo to get your luggages. Cathay Pacific ba yung airline mo? Kasi yung tita ko, naiwan sila ng flight nila before dahil sa 2 hours lang din ang layover nila sa YVR going to Winnipeg.

Dried fish, yes. Sinigang mix, yes. Yung mangoes, I believe hindi pede. Pero I have a co-worker na lage daw silang nag-uuwi dito from Pinas ng mangga pero hindi naman kinukuha kase dineclare daw nila Pero if first time mo palang tatravel papuntang Canada, I won't recommend na magdala ka nun, kasi mahirap na. So dun tayo sa safer side

I think we are on our 17th month processing times. I wonder what to do..

Ah okay sis Usually ang pila na mahaba ay don sa customs kung madami kayong magkakasabay na flights na dumating, pero hindi ka naman siguro magtatagal kasi mag-isa ka lang. And sabi nila, saglit lang naman daw sa Immigration ngayon (di ko na din kasi maaalala kung gano kami katagal non hehe.) Tapos usually nagtatagal din sa pagkuha nang luggages sa carousel kung may mga kasabay kang flights, so let's keep our fingers crossed Siguro naman imamark nila sa Manila yung luggage mo na sandali lang layover mo sa Vancouver
