I've applied PR in Jul,2019.
I'm Japanese citizen who applied PR as family class. I'm so frustrated that many Japanese International students and even working holiday who have applied much later than me can go to Canada now.
I'm wondering why many Canadian spouse and children can't go to Canada even ppl who don't have Canadian family can go to Canada.

I'm posting this cuz every Japanese outland visa application proceeds in Manila VO.

I'm in your situation as well. I'm South Korean and my app is in Manila :) They received my PR app on April 24 2019 and I'm still waiting. Unlucky I guess.

I'm in the same boat. Sent my application from South Korea then it was transferred to Manila VO. Still waiting for MR since I submitted my csq in August, 2020.

It can only be explained by saying there are different criteria for the different types of visas. TRV and study visas have a set expiry time where a PR is forever. That is why the process is much more involved and takes longer to complete.

My wife (Japanese) and I are in the same situation. We also applied in July 2019 and are still waiting. I believe we were close to being finished but then the coronavirus caused many delays. It seems the Phillipines has had many coronavirus cases so I guess this may be the reason why Manila applications are taking so long to complete.

I hope you and your spouse can go to Canada soon!

hi! im also Japanese citizen and waiting for updates about PR from Manila. In case if you dont know, we are allowed to enter canada as family reunion purpose.
actually i moved into canada in August without pr though, there was no problem at the airport. please check out government website!
Hope everyone could get pr soon!

Hello! Sa mga kabayan po, sino po sainyo ang umuwi ng pilipinas after makuha po ang pr nila? Then nag stay po ng 1 year? Or over 6 mos. May penalty po ba or overstay kahit filipino naman? Ako po kasi 8 mos sa canada nung na pr then umuwi po sa pinas at 1 year npo nandito and balak nden po bmalik ng canada ngayong october pra ipasa ang application nmen ng misis ko po thank you sa ssagot! Godbless

what do you mean dm finally on ECAS and noy yet in the cic. is it the same website right? if not can you give me the link on those two thanks.
