I think the "Review of eligibility" row in GCKEY never updates or very delayed on updating. Parang wala pa ako nabasa dito na nag update yan sa "Completed/Passed" or something. Yung iba naka based sa ordered notes kung completed na or hindi. But as per historical data pag may pre-arrival na it's as good as eligibility passed.

I think hindi po inalis yung Application Status. Nasa top na sya ng page. Binago kasi nila yung page formatting after ng system maintenance nila this week. I think hindi na po kayo aabutin ng November.
Parating na yan. Patience lang talaga. Ako habang naghihintay nanonood muna mga videos/learning materials from pre-arrival websites.
Weird. Hindi na namin pinursue yung pagchange kasi current address lang naman, mailing address niya remains the same. Pero until now, months after kami nagemail sa kanila about it, wala pa rin change sa ECAS niya. Oh well.
Early August applicant kami. Hanggang ngayon wala pa rin kami update after background check last March. Other people who applied ng June and July last year are still waiting. Give it time.
Mahabang storya kasi samin.. kailngan na sya ng twins namin nanganak ako dito wala pa rin sya.. mahal namn pauwi uwi ng Pinas.. baka kung ala pa until june30 umuwi na muna kami para magkasama sama kami...

I just finished my Pre-arrival seminar and MAP session yesterday. It was informative. They also gave links and other information which are very helpful before up to landing and little after. It's really worth your time so I recommend that you attend. The second day, the MAP Session, my facilitator was very straightforward with me and somewhat crushed my dreams to continue being a lawyer in Canada. It was overwhelming, but at least I've got options. As for us in waiting, I am still hoping and praying we get good news this month or soon for the PPR. I am one of the unlucky ones who could not link the account in the GCKey, so I am relying on ECAS.
Hi! No, she looked down on my profession and told me I lacked the skills. For me, I know I lack the "Canadian skills" and/or experience, but she was insistent that I wasn't good enough. I did my research about the whole process and the assessment, and the schooling it will go with it. I told her about what I researched and the accrediting body for lawyers in Canada (NCA) and she told me that it was all wrong.
I don't know, maybe she was directing me to a paralegal or clerical work.

I'm a lawyer too and I was really looking forward to becoming a lawyer in Canada as well. This is quite disappointing.
