Yes, nagsend ako ng follow up email sa MVO, feb9 kasi nareceive ng husband ko ang pre arrival letter. Tas thrice sya nkareceive nung virtual career fair kaya ng email nako sa MVO after a week ngreply sila sakin.. after magsend ng status update sakin, simula na namn ng paghihintay namin. BGC ng husband ko ala pagbabago humingi lang ng docs nun january hindi ko lam kung part ng BGC yun.. nalulungkot na nga kami..

Hello. I don't think you need a visa to attend a CFO seminar. you won't be able to get the sticker though. I attended the said seminar in 2015 but got my visa only last month. I heard slots get booked real fast these days with the CFO so while waiting for your visa, you might as well attend the seminar. I checked the CFOs website and here's the info: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/news/cfo-news-and-events/16-fiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals.html It's under 'important notes' section. Hope that helps.

No visa for CFO seminar is only applicable to those who are married or partners who are Canadian citizen. For those whose sponsor is still a PR cannot attend the seminar until they get the visa.

Eto timeline ng husband ko:
Sept.11, 2017 - rcvd application
October 27- met the requirements for eligibility as sponsor
Nov. 2 - application has been forwarded to Manila
Nov. 3- Medical done
January 18, 2018 - rcvd email for additional docs
January 31- submitted additonal docs online
Feb. 9 - Rcvd pre-arrival letter
April 13 - followed up MVO about the status of my husband’s application
April 13- rcvd automated email confirmation
April 22- rcvd email reply about the status of the application.
BGC - not yet started

Hanggang ngaun naghihintay kami 3x na nakakreceive ng email husband ko about virtual career fair after nya mareceive ang pre-arrival letter. Baka abutin pa ng one yr application nya..

Process Started May 2017 --- Visa in Passport May 8 2018

I have a question which CFO course does she need to --- I see there are two
1) I am an Immigrant Visa holder who needs to register and take the PDOS or Peer Counselling session -- PDOS

2) I am a Spouse/Partner of a foreign national or former Filipino citizen who needs to register and undergo the GCP --- Guidance and Counseling
Program (GCP)

I am confused as to which one will give her the sticker required in her passport.

She is departing to Canada on June 24 ... she lives in Cebu, I have already registered here for the GCP --- Guidance and Counseling
Program (GCP) - course. After completion of the this course does she have enough to get ALL the requirement she needs to be able to leave on June 24. Will her "sticker" be applied to her passport after completion of this course.

If you (sponsor spouse) are a foreign national, she has to attend the GCP.

But if you (sponsor spouse) are a Filipino (not yet naturalized), she has to attend the PDOS.

After the seminar, she is deemed to have completed all the requirements. Finally, I believe the seminar sticker will be applied to the passport with visa.

She will get the sticker and certificate after attending the GCP if he/she was a 2) Spouse/Partner of a foreign national or former Filipino citizen - make sure she takes her passport with the visa stamp with her. Both the certificate and the sticker will be checked by the local immigration as she leaves the Philippines. I just got mine last week and am ready to go at the end of this month =)))

If she is 1) an Immigrant Visa holder, she gets registered and will get a sticker on her passport after attending the PDOS. I hope that answers your question.

Hi im november 2017 apppicant here. May i know your current status? I havent received any feedback from MVO where our documents were being transferred. Its almost 3 months since ive heard from them. May i know also if you have an idea on pre-arrival services? I have observed that some people in this forum were mentioning about this pre-arrival thing.

Hi i have a friend. Visa on hand na ung mga anak nya. Flight nila next month sana. The thing is ung ist na anak nya nabuntis at nanganak na before receiving PR , nung medical nman daw sinabi nya dun na buntis sya. Ngaun nag email ung anak sa MVO na nanganak sya, ang labas nun undeclred. Kinancel ung visa nila agad. Is it possible na cancellation agad un? Tumawag daw sya sa immigration dito sa canada, pero ang sbai sa kanya hindi na nila hawak un since natransfer na ung file sa mvo. Ano pwede gawin nung nagsponsor?TIa

I was looking through this thread, went as far back as January I noticed many people got in DM in January and February, then hardly any in March, April, and May.

Maybe people just aren't posting here? I don't know.

Hi im also november applicant here. As of this time, no update yet for MVO. Waiting game has started already for 3 months now when i received an update from ECAS that our application has been forwarded to Manila visa office for further processing last Feb 28, 2018. My husband received an email inviting PR applicants for jobs from top canadian employers last March. I did not apply in the email that they sent to us since i have not fully completed my resume yet. How about you? whats the status of your application?

Yesterday my they started processing my bgc and this afternoon i got pre arrival nov applicant

So nice to hear from a november applicant that is progressing. What do you mean by that pre-arrival letter? I am also a nov applicant but i havent received of that letter yet. Been 2 months since I last heard from MVO. By the way, may i now your timeline? Hope everyone here will receive our PPR soon. Looking forward for good news next month June. Let us never forget to pray and thank God for all the good things that are happening around us. We are blessed enough to have our application lined-up already while patiently waiting for an update everyday. I know we can surpass all these waiting games. I believe good things will come to those who wait. To God be the glory!
