I have a question to anybody who reapplied to study permit after refusing.

What letter of acceptance have you downloaded?

I applied for study permit in August and letter of acceptance was for September. University allowed to start without study permit because all this fall term is online and I decided to start my program because I need this degree as soon as possible.
I received refusal letter from Visa officer. and now after I have received ATIP I want to reapply, to get study permit for spring term (January 2021).

but what dates should I write in imm1294 (start date of studying)? if my program has already started.

have you asked university for a new letter of acceptance?

who had this situation? could you share with advice please?

So you have an AIP or your study visa application was rejected? Are you still studying online without a study permit or you deferred until the winter? I would get a new letter. Before resubmitting address why you were denied in the first place. Why do you need this degree as soon as possible as studying without permit will not give you Canadian education points.

You cannot study online without AIP let alone without study permit submitted. Which brilliant university allowed this to happen without a proof of either AIP or submission confirmation letter?

You can. Please check ircc guidelines before mocking other students

I don’t think he is mocking him. He is asking why the person would continue with the program after the visa was refused. IRCC guidelines outline AIPs but they don’t recommend continuing to study online after your permit is refused & with no permit. The school should have suggested deferring to the Winter term.

Hi Din89KZ,

I'm in the same situation with you. I am waiting for the ATIP result now.

About your concern, I'm not sure but I think you could submit "enrolment confirmation letter" issuded from your school, and the start date of studying should be this Fall, so that it could get a higher priority than Winter 2021 in IRCC.

However, these are all from my personal speculation. I don't know whether we could reapply for this Fall 2020. But I read the referred clause which is in my refusal letter, and it means that YOU should apply a study permit before you ENTERING in Canada. So, I think as we are still studying online outside of Canada, we could reapply for it.

Hi Din89KZ, have you reapplied? Or can you reapply for this Fall 2020? I am looking forward to your good news.

Thanks everybody for advice, especially fareedbeijing,

I have already asked my University for enrollment confirmation letter. And I have already started preparing documents for my second attempt.

fareedbeijing, I have not reapplied yet, because I am still preparing documents, but I hope that soon I will be able to reapply. It is so nervous, and scary. I thought ATIP will give a lot of details but VO notes were so general, nothing specific it looks like he made this conclusion just because of the reason that I am from a developing country. as the reason was Economic motive.

Just 1 point was clear about employment prospects in my country - here I can try to prove my short and long term goals.

and 1 more scaring moment - according to canada.ca the time for visa review 1 week for my country.... I am afraid that they do not look carefully at the documents. but we can do nothing with this fact. just hope that this time luck will be with us.

How is your preparation? Have you received ATIP?

Hi Din89KZ, my ATIP notes are going to be received in the middle of November around. If I cannot reapply for this Fall, I have to reapply for 2022, so I really wish you good news!

I totally understand your anxiety and frustration. Only hope that we got the refusals just because they were too careless and this time we can get approved.

I will update anything new I know. Hope any other people who are in the same situation can share their information too.
