Notes:
- There are 3 types of tests: CELPIP-General, CELPIP-LS, and CELPIP-Academics. the one you need for CEC is CELPIP-General or "CELPIP-G"
- The test has 4 Categories like IELTS (Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening)
- The new CELPIP can only be taken in Canada.
- The registration cost is a bit cheaper than IELTS @ $250CAD + Tax. (IELTS is $285 CAD if you registered in Canada)
- The test is quite new, created by UBC with different benchmarks than IELTS

If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC 0 or A job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 7 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC B job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities.

CELPIP-General
The CELPIP-General Test assesses a general level of English-language proficiency. The test is computer-based, and made up of three sections: listening, speaking, and reading and writing.
Listening
The listening section measures an individual's level of understanding spoken English in everyday situations. It includes the following parts:
Part 1: Matching Statements to Pictures
Part 2: Answering Questions
Part 3: Identifying Similar Meanings
Part 4: Comprehending Dialogues
Part 5: Listening to Conversations
Speaking
The speaking section measures an individual's ability to communicate orally in English. It includes the following parts:
Part 1: Answering General Questions
Part 2: Interpreting Graphic and/or Tabular Materials
Part 3: Telephone Role Play, Conversation, and News Item
Part 4: Oral Response to a Topic
General reading and writing
The reading and writing section assesses an individual's general reading comprehension and composition skills. It includes the following parts:
Part 1: Reading and Responding to a Letter
Part 2: Reading Diagrams and Tables
Part 3: Completing a Paragraph
Part 4: Reading Passages and Answering Questions
Part 5: Writing Guided Compositions
Test length
The total length of all three sections is 180 minutes:
Listening: 30 minutes
Speaking: 30 minutes
Reading and writing: 120 minutes
