New Language Testing Option for CEC (CELPIP)

Hello All,
I registered for CELPIP in April-2013 & purchased their online material for practice. Does anyone came across anything else for practice apart from material available online on their website?

Hello, I have registered for CELPIP - G exam today. I have received only payment confirmation receipt but did not receive my admission ticket and online Book . Can anyone help me how long it will take to get my admission ticket and material?

Is there any other material available for exam preparation? or any other tip.

His lowest score, 3L, is the bare minimum requirement for NOC B applicants. Congrats to your friend for passing

I just got my CELPIP results. I did better than on the IELTS. Maximum score for everything except writing where I got 4H.

hi guys ,my noc Category is B, i just got my results for celpip , i had 2h for listening and 3h for the rest , will the visa officer take to consideration that i have 3h for 3 parts and failed only one part and pass my application or do i need to do the whole exam again just because of one failure worried just finished 5 years as foreign worker 5 years in canada , i am applying under CEC

You need to retake the test and qualify in each category.

I am going to do CELPIP next month and I need CLB 7. I used to do IELTS and my reading was lower and I am thinking to take CELPIP, it would have been easier if i take it.

Do you all have any idea or resource to improve my reading?

Hi deluch,

check the IELTS preparation online course in this forum,its really usefull.i know you will be taking CELPIP but still it will help you improve your reading ability.
you can also look at the CELPIP website and order some study material if you want.

CELPIP is the way to go, IELTS is not fair.

I have very good proficiency (atleast I think so) & I got 7, 5.5, 6, 7.5 in IELTS L, R, W, S. Though I did extremely well and had very high confidence in Reading they gave me 5.5 out of no where (I needed 6 and above in each), instead of appllying for remarking I attempted CELPIP (As IELTS is not ready to refund even if the score for Reading test changes & the over all band doesn't change...Sounds like a way to steal money in my opinion)

Where as in CELPIP I got 5H, 5L, 5L, 5L just within 2 weeks and with no preparation other than reading through the CELPIP online test samples. How did CELPIP rate me with most proficiency when IELTS not...so I am not with IELTS and they are rip off.

If you are in Canada please make use of CELPIP and save some $

^ I also opted for CELPIP because this is fully-computerised. I am scheduled to take the exam next month. Aside from the free sample test, I also bought the review material.

It sounds like you should have applied for a remark, if you really believed that your reading mark was an unfair decision.

A lot of people seem to think CELPIP is easier though, plus it is quicker (only a few hours as opposed to a full day for IELTS).
