Hello Folks

What if someone landed in October 2012 with funds from his country which is for the 1st time I know is waived from tax
but what if that PR card holder now goes to his country for a long vacation with all the amounts he/she had brought here ?
does he/she needs to file tax return? if yes, When and how. if he/she comes back with the same amount , would that be taxed?

Whether or not taxed depends on the source of the money you are bringing into Canada. For example, you are bringing the money as a result of the dividend of the shares you hold in your country, then yes you would be required to report in your 2013 tax return.
